This is about where guys like GT and I (and others) predicted he would be around year 4.

This hurts.

I agree, but I think he needed the SwaggyP incident and the trade to mature and develop the work ethical and drive to play he has now.

Or... it was already on it's way naturally just like his stats were indicating and people just overlooked it because they were convinced or had venom for him and now are being shown that maybe they should have put their pride to the side and paid attention to what was actually going on.

Akin to the people that assumed Randle was a finished product after his 2nd season and ignored/diminished any progress he continued to make till he was on another team and they realize maybe they should have appreciated him while he was still in P&G.

If they can't, we should.

Near impossible money wise, unless he is the Chosen one, which we all know Magic does not think...

Right now, his minimum will probably be Zac Lavine contract level.

I'd say a bigger loss than Randle as Im still not sold on Randle's game meshing with other players and today's NBA.

As has been noted in this thread - and discussed thoroughly two years ago - DLo and Ball would've meshed very well on the court.

I so badly wanted to see D'Lonzo.

I agree it would have been a very nice backcourt.

Seeing Lonzo, D'Lo, Kuz on the court together is something I think about all the time.

Will never happen. Too bad. Many of us saw the player we are seeing today. Aside from the jaw dropping athleticism, kid could do it all offensively and make it look easy.

I had a feeling Ingram should've been the one to go in that trade and I think I'm right.

i don't lose sleep over Randle, but DLO's game has really grown since he left the Lakers. his game is the closest to Harden in the entire league.

May as well eat crow if we don't land a max free agent next off-season. We'll have enough money to bring both D-lo and Randle back, for much more than we could have just kept them for, but what can you do.

The fact Randle is proving himself as a 20/10/3 guy whether starting or off the bench and Russell has shown his maturity and what he's been able to do for the Nets. In terms of starting 2 and starting 4/ small ball 5, Russell and Randle are your choices for the offense the team is missing.

Need to see that doom small-ball lineup of

Lonzo Ball
D'Angelo Russell
Brandon Ingram / Kyle Kuzma
LeBron James
Julius Randle

I'll take that small ball lineup against any other 'death lineup' not on the Warriors, and even then they could hang with them.

Even if it came down to it, I'd take this as our starter/bench unit this off-season if we don't land another max

Starters:
Lonzo Ball
D'Angelo Russell
Brandon Ingram
LeBron James
JaVale McGee / Ivica Zubac

Bench:
Rajon Rondo / Isaac Bonga
Josh Hart
Svi Mykhailiuk
Kyle Kuzma / Moritz Wagner
Julius Randle

I'd take that and wouldn't think twice about it as a successful off-season bar getting a max.

15/3/3/1 at halftime. Think he got gassed at the end there, played 19 minutes with the Nets not having Napier tonight

Russ is cooking right now 29/5/7 on 7-11 from deep. Shoulda been 8-12 but a moving pick flop erased one

34/5/7/1/1 w/ 7 triples. His big 3rd Q helped get the Nets a big enough lead to hold off the Boston comeback run.
