Throw KD on this squad and the East is on lockdown for the next 5 years.
At least until Giannis learns how to shoot, or the Celtics break the curse of Isaiah Thomas. They've really had a string of bad luck with free agents and draft picks since trading him. Even their trades haven't really worked out if Kyrie leaves for nothing.
KD should join Nets instead of Knicks. Nets actually have been more relevant than Knicks in this century with 2 finals appearances. Very good FO and coach. But he might still go to Dolan's mess to team up with Kyrie. _________________ Showtime 2.0
Had we kept him and done everything else an ideal FO would have done, DLo would be the third best player on our team, making at least $25 million next year (wouldn't have been an all-star but probably gets about that much), and still playing little defense. With Randle too, we'd be well over the apron if/when Kuzma would be extended.
DLo has to be the best player on his team for his offensive impact to outweigh his negative effect on the defense, and limited usefulness on offense when he isn't the ballhandler in a PnR.

lol.
In his first playoff game he upsets the 76ers. He’s easily worth that. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals

He's not a negative on defense this season if you have watched him. Stop with this dumb narratives. He'd be the 2nd best behind Bron. Anyways, keep on justifying dumb trade when he just won his first playoff game where as Lakers missed 6th straight with Bron. Some of us would have actually liked Lakers making playoffs with Bron and DLo instead of Rondo, KCP, Lance etc. Nets even got rid of Moz easily. _________________ Showtime 2.0

I’m sorry but you must not watch the games. Trade Dlo with any player on the Lakers not named Lebron and they don’t make the playoffs. The kid is a leader and a dynamic passer and scorer. His defense is average. We screwed up. Period. _________________ You mystified at what exists inside

To their grave these folks will have this bad take. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals
Some will never get over that they were wrong about this kid. They didn't expect him to reach half of this at 23 if you go back 3-4 years. _________________ Showtime 2.0

OKAFOR OR MUDIAY 4EVA!!!
Yeah, it's not that they were wrong that's mockable - that happens to everyone - it's how immovable they are off of their positions. It must really sting for them to still be acting like this.
The id of the Lakers fanbase went after Mike D'Antoni in the same way too. It's cringeworthy.

DLo isn't an effective off-ball player? And his offense already offsets his defense if he never improves from this point forward. _________________ Under New Management

None of this is actually true. Russell haters lost the war and are now resorting to just making (bleep) up.

Yea, DLo can actually spot up and shoot. Simmons is the one who can't be effective without the ball and even limited with the ball as defenders sag off as he can't shoot. _________________ Showtime 2.0
