Also, Suns fans are morons and don't deserve to watch the kid play for their team. I really hope he can get out of there. _________________ Under New Management |

I'm just trying to figure out why so many teams passed up on him. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

it is about freakin time!
Jevon Carter Dazzles in NBA Debut
Quote: | Former West Virginia point guard Jevon Carter finally received his shot, making his NBA debut on Saturday night for the Memphis Grizzlies. The rookie wasted no time making an impression, either, coming in with his team down more than twenty and helping bring the score back to single digits. Carter did that by playing tenacious defense (two steals and a block) and also scoring the basket, finishing with 11 points on 5-of-9 shooting. He was then awarded the Grizzlies' player of the game. |

Jevon Carter pesters Chris Paul, James Harden in solid NBA debut for Memphis Grizzlies
Quote: | “He is very active, he plays his butt off, he is everywhere on the floor," Harden said. "He did an unbelievable job pressing me and Chris up the floor, creating some defense and offense. He was very active.” |

Carter Defensive Highlights vs. Houston
guess those claims of him not being able to defend at the NBA level may have been a bit off.... |

Anybody been watching the Knicks and Mitchell Robinson? I heard he had a good start to the year but noticed his numbers are quite underwhelming. He’s a young prospect with tons of potential and im curious what people have seen from him. |

Quote: | Deandre Ayton with 33 PTS (16-for-20), 14 REBS, 4 STL and 1 BLK in a season-high 39 MIN against the Nuggets. Incredible how productive he's been given the number of touches he gets. He's now shooting 69% at the rim, 2nd to only Giannis among players with over 220 attempts. |

YMMV, but Ayton's a worthy #1 pick and clear ROY in most years. The 2018 draft just happens to be a rare year. The defense and jumper remain works in progress, but he's going to be a scoring efficiency monster for many years to come _________________ Under New Management |

Mitchell Robinson is posting an insane (and no doubt unsustainable in bigger minutes) BPM of 6.5 at age 21. _________________ Under New Management |

2nd round pick Jalen Brunson tearing it up to end the season. If Dallas can move up, retain their pick, and draft Jarrett Culver, they could be back in playoff contention pretty quick depending on Porzi's health. _________________ Under New Management |

You're telling me the one year we didn't have any high picks is the one year where half the rookies are obvious future all stars

To be fair, they also passed on a bunch of productive late-1st/2nd round picks to get Moe and Bonga, too. _________________ Under New Management |

Yeah, it's pretty easy to get a good read on strong draft classes. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

the thing I love about Robinson this year....he is doing exactly what he is capable to do at a high level to help his team. If you watched high school and AAU clips of Robinson, he has some level of a 3 point shot, and has some other skills....but he is sticking to what he knows he can do well in this rookie campaign.
He may never do much more than dunk, rebound and block shots, but I think that is doubtful.....just think he and the Knicks are in no rush to expand his game. A lot of rookies with limited skills should consider this strategy early in their career instead of trying to prove they are not just a role player. |

Jevon Carter (Memphis) did not have a great year....did not get a lot of PT, but closed out the season strong.
Tonight - 32 Points (8 of 12 from 3), 4 Rebounds and 2 Assists in 26 Minutes. |

NBA players seem to think Trae should win ROY. Luka should win. |
