Hurts comes in and Bama ties it up. And yes, Bama is not falling out of the top 4, especially since Tua got hurt during this game. Oklahoma is begging for Bama to pull this out, I promise you.

Kyler Murray may have taken the Heisman today from Tua? Also, it would be interesting if Hurts graduates this year, and transferred to Oklahoma to play his Senior season. He would be a solid fit for their offense.

Oh my, Georgia goes for a fake punt and fails!
It made zero sense once Georgia saw that 'Bama kept their defense/safe package on the field. At that point, your odds are much better to run an actual play out of an offensive formation. I do not get why they did not shift out of fake punt once they saw 'Bama was expecting it.
The greatest fake punt in that building (actually the building before that building, Georgia Dome) also involved Georgia.
Looks like the SEC championship game was the best game followed by the Big12 championship game. ACC championship game is looking like a blowout and so is the Big10 championship game. Pac 12 championship was probably worst out of the power 5 conferences for atmosphere and excitement.

It is time we quit pretending that the committee picks the 4 best teams. It is about resume and style points.....just like it always has been.
Here is the proof....if Vegas came out with odds right now for a game next week on a neutral field for Georgia vs. Notre Dame? Oklahoma vs. Notre Dame? Ohio State vs. Notre Dame? Michigan vs. Notre Dame? Texas vs. Notre Dame? LSU vs. Notre Dame? I strongly suspect Notre Dame would be underdogs in every single matchup....yet they are accepted as a lock for a playoff spot. I do not even disagree with them getting in....because it has really always been about resume, not about who is the best 4 teams in the country.

Also, nobody questions Clemson. Who have they beat? Their best win was probably during Week 2 against Texas A&M....28-26. Let's just look at a common opponent for comparison....@ halftime, Clemson is beating Pitt 28-10. UCF was beating Pitt 31-7 @ halftime. I am not arguing that Clemson should not be in or is not one of the best 4 teams......but the only thing they "proved" this year is they can avoid losing to a schedule full of bad to almost mediocre teams.
Exactly who is pretending? Did you think that won-loss record doesn't matter, so that the committee could be thinking, "Hmm, I think Texas A&M would probably beat Notre Dame, so let's put the Aggies in the playoff"?

every freakin weekend.....ESPN and the Committee chairman repeat the line their primary goal is to select the 4 best teams in the country at the point they release rankings. Heather Dinich, the ESPN reporter that is mostly associated with and basically embedded with the committee was just on ESPN making this exact claim.

Northwestern is only down by 3 to Ohio State in the 3rd Q. I do not even want to imagine the television ratings for a Northwestern vs. Washington Rose Bowl.

Thats how it used to be for the first 3 years. They moved it to Levi's Stadium as a neutral field after that. I don't think it helps that the game is usually on Friday either but I think that is mainly due to TV since all the other conference championship games are scheduled on Saturday.
I honestly do not understand why the PAC12 allows this.....the AAC gets a Saturday 3:30 PM ET slot on ABC and the PAC12 is on Fox on Friday night? I honestly do not know why the conference commissioner/school presidents are not pushing back on the scheduling.
