Not gonna lie, Giannis is my favorite non Lakers player. Him joining AD in 2021...good lord. (But I don't know if I want to go through another Kawhi level FA troll job).

I see Giannis staying in Milwaukee the rest of his career, or at least, another 4-5 years.

I think he resigns in Milwaukee....don't even think he is an option.

If he doesn't make a Finals, I could see him leaving.

honestly, not much of a fan of this mentality....dude is the best player on a high priced talented team.....so if they do not make the finals, the team and fans are "punished"? I know what you are saying....and it makes sense in the current environment....just not a fan of it.

Problem is, Bucks ownership was too cheap to keep Brogdon. They actually got worse this year. He was arguably their 2nd most important player at times. The contract he got wasn't too bad, worse case you trade it.

we will see....I know it appears they got worse, but things are not always as they appear. I think Wes slides into that SG role real nicely in the short term. Their 2 deep is really impressive this year, and I can see Robin Lopez paying some dividends if he is energized this year. I believe some of the efficiency metrics actually led to Brogdon being overrated.

I hope he doesnt. The starting lineup should focus on Lebron-AD dynamic. Let players like Rondo and Cousins play most of their minutes when Lebron and/or AD are not in the game.
And I really hope Vogel has the spine to resist pecking orders.

thought AD was pretty clear in his press conference that we wants to play the #4....so I assume Cousins will at least start the game....or McGee?

I'd much rather have AD play the 4 at 60-70 games a year than 82 at the 5

edit: mixed up the numbers

let Mcgee start, Cousins come off bench to be fresh against other teams second units.
AD at the 5 should be our ace in the hole death lineup we use occasionally during the regular season to keep AD fresh and roll out in full force during the playoffs.

Cousins provides shooting from beyond the arc. In 3 of the past 4 years he's shot over 35% from 3. With McGee you have a similar problem as last year with the lane clogged.

I do not really care which way they go...same with Rondo....but until I see something from the Lakers that says different, I am assuming Rondo and Cousins start on opening night.

I don't want him to start because he's still recovering his health.

Completely agree man.
I'd start Bradley/Green/LBJ/AD/McGee.
Try to get in transition and set the tone defensively.
Bring in Cousins to feast on 2nd team Centers and get easy scores when we need it on the 2nd unit.
Play McGee 8-10 minutes to start each half, go small to end quarters (Cook/Green/LBJ/Kuz/AD), Rondo/Insert shooter/KCP/Kuz or Dudley/Cousins on the 2nd team, then finish small again Bradley/Green/LBJ/Kuz/AD. (Not really a small unit, but you get my drift)
I hope Vogel has the stones to NOT start Rondo and Cousins, we'll get killed defensively with them out there starting every game.

I expect most if not all of McGee's minutes to come when Davis isn't in the game. You can't have McGee in the dunker's spot with Davis on the floor and the spacing would be terrible. Cousins is far better than McGee up top and can pass. If you start with Cousins, he can be warm to start the game.

As much as I can agree I think he starts. Will be nice to start the game with firepower and having those guys together will score. I’d taking Cousins out around 7 left then bring him and Rondo back in together to start the 2nd

I’d go
Lebron
Bradley
Green
Davis
Cousins

Sub in McGee, Kuzma, Quinn at 6min Mark
James
Quinn
Kuzma
Davis
McGee

Then Rondo for Lebron at 2min
Rondo
Quinn
Kuzma
Davis
McGee

To start the 4th go
Rondo
Quinn
KCP
Kuzma
Cousins

I’d play Davis and Cousins together to start the game and depending on how close the ending is if we need to go small or what. I prefer Davis-McGee-James-Green-Bradley then go Kuzma-Cousins-Rondo-KCP-Cook
