Or can the Warriors trade Green to a team with cap space? So they can keep both KD and Klay?

The Warriors have the bird rights to Green, KD and Klay so there is no cap space restriction to signing them. It's more about how much luxury tax they're willing to pay.

Ah, thanks.

The Lakers are real close right now. and doubt if the GSW can max out both Durant and Green.

To put this in perspective...Houston had the best record last season winning 79.3% of its games.

During the Warriors record setting season they won 89% of their games.

If we win our next five games we will be 92% over the last 12 games
If we only win 4 out of our next 5 games we will still be playing at an 83% pace. Both goals are achievable.

If the players win 10 out of 12 games, I think people should stop trying to trade them away.

Alright lets slow down and see this happen first lol

I wouldnt be surprised if we win all 3 of these road games coming up and I also wouldnt he surprised if we lost 2 of them.

It will be a good test to see how well the kids can perform without Rondo backing up Ball... maybe a preview of next year if we can't re-sign him.

I agree they can lose... there really aren't any automatic wins... but we should go 4 for 5 minimum.

Ideally we'd go 12 - 1 until Houston, but after watching the Atlanta game... you have to be prepared for anything.

I'm hoping to be 25 - 8 by Christmas... losing only to Denver on the road and maybe Houston... but 23 - 10 or 21 - 12 might be more likely.

Hopefully the team is starting to think this way... it sounds greedy, but these records are achievable going by recent trends.

The most promising sign is that we’re starting to win the games that we used to lose.. if this was last year’s team we’d have 3 losses to Portland right now.

I don’t wanna speak too soon but they’re starting to win the games that I usually expect them to lose. Like the game @ Sacramento as well

Obviously LeBron is a huge help in this lol

There is no need to make bonehead moves now. Just let the team develop and sign a max player if the opportunity presents itself. Something is bound to happen.

The key is Magic and Pelinka put in the missing piece, for the Lakers are REAL close.
Just maybe a dead eye closer.

Draymond bringing up Durant's and Klay's free agency? I guess that was kind of strange why he would even bring that up in his statement.

Draymond's statement reminded me of JR Smith making a similar comment about LeBron's free agency early last season. KD is gone. Just a matter of where to.

You have to give up so much to get him.

KD? Just cap space. Which we already have.

But I prefer KL + 6m cap space first, but would happily take KD.

I think you need a perimeter scorer to go with that trio. KD is the best. AD I feel is a tough one to get b/c we will have a hard time matching salaries.
AD/LBJ isn't enough even though that would be a dynamic duo. Plus AD is often hurt and you've just depleted our depth.

My guess is Curry, Green and Klay will stick around. Durant is the question mark.

KD shares an agency with Josh Hart and Wagner so the back channel communication with AD and KD joining must already be in motion.....

He's also the heart and soul of their team. The guy that helps them flip the switch when they are sleepwalking through games or being complacent.

You don't just trade that away, while he's also the team's best defender. They have a perfect setup that by the time Green starts slowing down they have Bell ready to take his place in a similar kind of role. So they've got it lined up very well.

Everyone in the league knows Durant might leave next summer. Just like everyone in the league knew James might leave Cleveland a year ago.

there is no such thing as klay being a better fit than durant. dont tell yourself those tall tales because you dont want kd or you think we can't get him.

KD is by far the best fit. There will be no lulls if you have kd. klay there will be because as great as he is as a shooter/scorer. he still drops off the map from time to time because he's not all that great and creating his own shot off the dribble. KD can do what klay does with his shooting(or very close to it) but also do it off the dribble. and he's an above average defender which is all you need in this new era of super soft defensive rules.

I like how they say everyone knew Lebron was leaving. Which was not the case. Hindsight baby!

it depends on what we give up to get AD> if it's not that much. then we are still up there. the only reason we may become the favorites is because kd would be off the favorite current team. so you would weaken them while also gaining another mvp winner.

But lets not kid ourselves AD is much of a MVP as KD and bron he just has never had the proper roster to win enough games to put himself truly in that discussion. and he kept getting hurt early on.

if you give me a team of LBJ, KD and AD. just find me some solid role guys and shooters. thats it.

Just the possibility of a long and athletic lineup of

Lebron
Durant
Ingram
Kuzma
Ball
Hart
Mcgee (Hopefully Vet minimum)
Chandler (Vet Minimum)

it would cause nightmares around the League both offensively and defensively

Draymond's statement on the Kevin Durant confirmation was definitely not a ringing endorsement that the Warriors are happy family and Durant is likely to stay
