No more 1-year deals for big money. No more punting. Also, Redick is almost certainly staying on the East Coast.

If we struck out on max free agents and if we don't make any major trades, I would target players like Bogdanovich, Mirotic, and maybe even Vucevic. Seth is a very good idea, though I think he gets more than $3.33MM a year. Maybe Lopez would come back if he believes Magic was the reason behind us not wanting him back, but I'm skeptical.

Others I'd look at: Dewayne Dedmon, Pat Beverley, Marcus Morris, Kevon Looney, Kenneth Faried, Darren Collison, Nerlens Noel.

Punting is for AD.

That is 10M/yr 3yr contract for Seth

He also said if he was KD, he would not start over and he would just try to win as many rings as possible...Said the 2 best places are Warriors or join Lebron. He said anywhere else it will take at least 2-3 years.

Is that good for us?

I don’t think KD will think like Arenas. He is too sensitive and wants to prove he can do it with his own team.

The good thing for us is if you are to believe Arenas, players don’t pay too much attention to front office as they don’t deal with upper management too much. If Kawhi, Kyrie or Jimmy have that same mindset then it’s good for us.

1. App. $36.5 mil
2. Playing with Steph

meh if that was his last contract i agree

but u r comparing 4years to 5years.

lets compare the 4yr contract value from gsw vs other team

Let’s not, it is unlikely that Klay signs for 4 years with GS.

Seth won't require $10MM a year. If he does, oh boy, then the market is going to be crazy again this summer, like it was in the summer of MozDeng lol.

I was in the car and had it on 710 when Sedano had Arenas on, and I had to change the station after about 60 seconds because of the ridiculous ignorance that Arenas was spouting.

Good stuff, Bron!

Not true, players can be guilty of tampering. If someone complains then the league will have to look into it.

I feel you. I can’t spend too much time on Sedano either. Super hyper. Hate the way he speaks. Always thought Petros was the worst in LA but Sedano getting close

But Collison had a long track record of proven, relatively well-rounded play as a capable starter or outstanding backup. Seth was and is considered to be a shooting specialist only, although a very good one. Also, I think Collison's $10MM a year was in that MozDeng summer.

Seriously, if Seth is getting $10MM a year, you're going to see guys like Bogdanovich get at least double that. And let's hope that doesn't happen. I think Seth will get something like $5-6MM a year.

Why that much for Seth Curry? He sucks. Redick is 35 in a few weeks. 18 Million is a little steep. He was the 5th best player on his team last year.

Now is the Lakers chance at Klay!

https://www.yahoo.com/sports/warriors-g-thompson-misses-supermax-contract-233410341--nba.html

Warriors no longer have financial edge!
Is it coaches and writers who choose all NBA? Or the league?
If it's the league, this is fishy lol.

Redick is 40% 3pt shooter, almost 19 pts a game behind the big 4 of Philly.

Seth is 45% 3 point shooter. Almost 9 points a game.

18M is steep, placeholder contract for AD.

The Warriors still have a financial edge. Plus they have Curry. And likely 4 titles in 5 seasons.

Yes, but that is the most in-demand specialty in the league right now. Look at what J.J. Redick is making at age 34. I'm not saying that Seth Curry is going to make as much as Redick, but I would be surprised if he got only $5-6M. We shall see.

And Reddick wants to stay East to be near family. That is why he went to Philly in the first place.

I think this is a good thread to talk about.
Hero is not saying he wants this, just what if we strike out with the max guys and big trades (which could certainly happen).

Here's mine:
Closely monitor the AD situation, because adding AD to our core as a FA next season would be best case scenario (without trading the core).
We have the communication with LBJ/RP, so I'd monitor that closely.
I mean if the Knicks get KD and Kyrie, and trade for AD, gotta feel there's a good chance he stays with them, but if it's somewhere else, that would affect my plans.

-Draft Garland at #4
-Buy a 2nd and get Porter Jr.
-Sign Collison 1 yr/12
-Sign Danny Green 1 yr/12
-Sign Dedmon 1 yr/9
-Sign Jav with the Room

PG- Lonzo/Collison/Garland
SG- Green/Ingram/Hart
SF- Ingram/LBJ/Vet min
PF- LBJ/Kuz/Mo
C- Jav/Dedmon/Porter

Play the year out and see what happens.
If AD is possible as a FA, we're in position (we'd either have to sign Ingram for less than his cap hold, or move he or Zo to make max space available for AD.
We'd have early Bird on Jav, still have the room (either Green or Collison), and perhaps have replacements for Collison /Green (Garland) and Dedmon (Porter)

PG- Zo/Garland
SG- Green/Garland/Hart
SF- Ingram/LBJ
PF- LBJ/Kuz/Mo
C- AD/Jav/Porter
