I’ve said this from the start. Glen Robinson lll is a decent player to throw on the bench that can shoot. Plus Rob loves Michigan guys.
Mudiay. |
How good is GR? Defends?
I'm somewhat disappointed in Mudiay. I expected more from him coming out of HS. _________________ 💜💛 🏆 👀 🍖 #18!!! |

Plays for Sacramento...... no
Play in Utah..... nope.
Play in LA, but not for the Lakers...... hell no!

Quote: | Bobby Marks: The LA Clippers are $1M below the hard cap after the Daniel Oturu signing. The Clippers can sign 2 veterans to the minimum exception ($1.6M) but at the cost of Joakim Noah. Noah has a $2.7M non-guaranteed contract that becomes full if he is not waived by 12/22 |
I suspect Noah will get waived and become a free agent. Could resign with the Clips or be a deep bench option for the Lakers (who were said to be his preferred destination last year before getting injured). |

Look at his shooting all within the arc. WAY improved. Break even defender at guard is a big deal too. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

Some people here said they still had the BAE. I'm glad they don't. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

the guy is 1 contract away from being out of the league. he doesn't care if he plays for lakers or clippers or sac kings.
he needs PT to showcase whatever his talent is. being 11th guy on championship team and no PT is not going to get him a big payday later |

Couldnt we offer him a non-guaranteed deal as well? Could be a poor man’s ibaka with his developing range and rim protection. Plus he is close with giannis back when they were teammates 👀 |

Guys, it’s about playing time for a lot of these players, especially players under 30. They want another contract, and as much as they would love to join the lakers and win a championship, they have to put their careers first at this point. Being the 12 man on the lakers bench is not going to get them their next break... |

Lakers are quiet waiting for several potential players to be bought out... Ariza, Batum, Dedmon, etc.
I also think the Lakers are still very much open to trading Kuzma but may be waiting to see if they can pick up an Ariza or Batum. _________________ A three headed monster... Jeannie, Pelinka, and Ham... another terrible season. |

The problem with Kuzma is that his contract is so low that you can't get anything good with it. And there aren't more players to trade with him besides KCP, which I don't think they are going to trade |

We aren't that's the point of my post. You can't get anything of real value for just him, so there is no need to trade him. Rob was able to keep Kuzma in the Green trade, something that we need to praise him about. |

We are not trading anyone at this point. The FO will reassess at the trading deadline. |

We're not trading Kuzma. His contract is a benefit for the Lakers this season. And while I'm usually not against trading any player, IF as SPO correctly mentions, you get a better player; it does not seem likely you get a better win now bang for your buck than Kuzma.
People need to give the "trade Kuzma stuff" a break. _________________ Lakers need to build a freaking team ! |

Mudiay is a situational sometimes used 3rd PG option.
I’d sign him, we need a PG to replace Quinn Cook, still haven’t replaced that spot.
He doesn’t take 3s anymore but his FG% has raised to respectability. He’s still good at getting to the rim, and could give you some minutes during the RS. These guys are not for the playoffs just spot moments in the RS.
He’s still only 24 and has defensive tools. Frank would like him IMo. |

Agree with Wolf here...defensive point, strong and can get to the rim...and only 24. |

Then again, one thing I’ll say maybe it’s better to round off the roster with chemistry locker room guys
Dudley was that
Quinn was that
We already lost Dwight, Rondo, and Green all those guys were good locker room guys (even with Dwight).
Now when we talk about replacing Dudley and Quinn. I think back to Phil Jackson’s ways of getting those old vets in for those spots. If you count Quinn and Dudley that’s 5 chemistry guys .... we brought in a lot of new guys so may make sense to round off the roster with leadership and chemistry guys instead of players that can play in the RS situationally. |

I think Rob is in No rush to sign 3 FA's now to fill up the roster. I think he is waiting for the Waiver wire.
But if we are only looking at the remaining free agents:
PG - Mudiay or Reggie Jackson
Sg - Korver
F - Dudley
C - Dedmon |
