Have to think they can do better than that if they let it be known he's available.

Also does the "someone" who just posted that know we don't have a 1st rounder? What's "pick"?

We don’t?

We have our first. It’s our only pick this draft.

I don't know if a 2023 2nd is what they're envisioning.

We'd have to loop in New Orleans, sending an asset their way to ease the protections on the 1st.

Yes I know we can’t trade our pick but we still have a first round pick this draft. My reply was to someone who said we didn’t have one.

The rule on trading picks needs to be updated. The intent, not allowing a run of successive years where a team doesn't have a 1st round pick, is valid. But now that teams are getting creative with protections, the existing rule lacks the necessary flexibility.

No just hiding inside until Mother Nature decides that it’s ok to go above freezing in the northeast every once in a while. Is it spring yet?!?!

NBA RUMORS: Lakers Could Potentially Land Zach Lavine! 👀🔥
It’s no secret that the Los Angeles Lakers have opened themselves up to the idea of trading Kyle Kuzma. In fact, the possibility may never have been off the table.
With a few weeks to go ahead of February’s trade deadline, his name has been the center of a number of rumors lately, the latest involving a potential deal with the Chicago Bulls.
In a deal proposed by Jonathan Kiernan of Fansided‘s Lake Show Life, the Lakers could acquire star guard Zach LaVine by sending a trade package including Kyle Kuzma, Danny Green, and Talen Horton-Tucker to Chicago.

I love Zach's game. Not sure how he would fit on this team but if the above is all it takes to get him, I'm all for it

Do we know if Lavine can score as the 3rd option? Kuzma's problem isn't scoring; it's playing alongside Lebron and AD. That move also presents a problem with size when Lebron/AD sits. We'd need another forward, someone who can rebound.

If any roster spot opens up, I think we should try to get Jemerrio Jones back; he was a good rebounder.

Why would the bulls be interested in moving Lavine?

You need to trade a star to get LaVine. Kuzma will not get you anywhere near a LaVine.

Bear in mind, Kuz is technically eligible for an extension this summer, and then hits RFA in 2021.

Out of ALL the YUTES we had, Lakers only kept JC. Would the Lakers extend Kuz long term? Who knows.

It’s not about whether we keep him or not
It’s about ensuring we get a long term asset for him if we decide against keeping him past this current contract. We have until this summer to decide that. The way Kuz puts up numbers as a starter and how he plays without AD or Bron, it makes me think there have to be some teams that have serious value for what he brings - we could do a lot better than Rose.

Even if we went for Rose using Kuzma, I would do a 3 way trade. Kuz goes to a third team who sends an asset to Detroit and an asset to us. Rose alone is not worth it at all. Major fail ....

If Kuzma could land us Levine, we pretty much have to bite. Right? Not sure we could do better than borderline All-Star.

You have to throw a lot more in. Danny Green, Bradley, KCP, etc., Kuz alone is not getting it done. Not even close.
