Beas has looked awful from Day 1. It was an odd signing from the start. If he couldn't play backup center, I never understood the need for him. Unless, Luke really thought Kuz could be a small-ball center and Beas the PF. |

This dude has been terrible. His play last year was definitely linked to the fact it was a contract year. Re-signing BroLo for the same money would have been a much better move. Hell, signing a random 6-8 high school basketball player would have yielded better results. |

Ok but if it was because of a contract year, so is this season. He’s on a 1 year deal.
I think it’s just a matter of fit. Last season, he basically played the Jordan Clarkson role for the Knicks. Give him the ball and let him iso and score. So far, the Lakers have not employed the same strategy and he hasn’t played enough to see what he can do in Luke’s system.
I would have signed Lopez too, but there are different factors in play. Beasley is basically instant offense off the bench and he’s not being utilized that way. Not saying right or wrong, just that this is a situation where it’s not a fit...at least not yet. |

He's only played 10 minutes this season. So unless Luke plays him more, it's really hard to tell whether Beasley sucks or not.
I do think the Lakers have PF minutes available though since the only capable PFs the Lakers have are Lebron and Kuzma.
Luke for some reason has been playing Hart at PF which I think is dumb. |

Caught a glimpse of the bench and Beasley was on it and it seemed like he was having trouble staying awake. LOL. |

I think he should have to earn his way into the rotation, but I agree that I would like to see Luke make sure he stays awake by throwing him in there every now and then. He has looked bad, but the guy can play in the NBA....just has get going. |

Beaz looked like he still has something in the tank but not as a small ball center.
Luke should use him from time to time to light a fire under Kuz, BI and some of the others. |

Our shooting needs improvement and we have a proven shooter camped at the end of the bench. Is he suddenly washed up or our illustrious coaching staff can’t figure out how to use him? I think it’s it’s the latter. |

Two decent games in a row.
I hope he gets some minutes. |

He'll be good insurance if Kuz gets injured. He has a natural touch around the basket. He's actually a better shooter too. |

Although it may not be saying a lot, I thought this was Beasley's best game of the season so far. He's starting to come around. |

I was never worried about his offense...
Over/Under 333 times Stu will echo that thought this season? |

Justifiable or not Beazy has to be pretty frustrated at this point. Apparently he is the odd man out.
I hope he saw this coming before he signed up because the young guys were going to get first dibs on playing time either way.
Beazy has shown patience and has handled the situation well.
He is not as washed up as Deng. He has played okay in limited minutes for the most part.
Based on this and his salary; he deserves some kind of playing time to get a return on our investment.
If not he could be a decent trade asset. |

Even LeBron was giving him major props for his limited contributions, I wonder if Luke is saving him for our playoff run. |

I've been a big Beasley supporter and I am frankly surprised we haven't tried playing him more. But he is a one year rental, so I would not get worked up about it if he doesn't pan out. |

Minnesota Timberwolves: Should Wolves trade for Michael Beasley?
by Kedar Hiremath 7 hours ago
The Minnesota Timberwolves are still a middle-of-the-pack offense and need to add scoring. Enter former No. 2-overall draft pick Michael Beasley.
https://dunkingwithwolves.com/2018/11/12/holiday-gift-guide-minnesota-timberwolves/
In fact, Beasley had one of the best seasons of his career last year, posting a 17.8 Player Efficiency Rating with a 27 percent overall usage when he was on the floor.
He’s also versatile enough to adjust his game based on his surroundings. Wiggins and KAT will always be the primary options, and Beasley still has the capability to be a knockdown jump shooter. The last three-plus seasons have seen him shoot 51.6 percent from the field and 39.9 percent from beyond the arc.
the Wolves might only need to give up a second-round draft pick to get Beasley. |

Very true. Nonetheless, I still see him possibly being traded at the deadline. |

This is the Beasley that we are used to seeing. It's looks like Lance is odd man out for now. Our bench is going to really good when Rondo comes back. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

If Beasley can find his game it will make a big difference.
Lance can turn it on.
Lonzo is coming around but is not a scorer.
But if you have five or more players scoring 15 along with Lebron
with 25 you are in good shape.
A second superstar will bring 20 but two guys with 15 will negate it. Without giving up the cap space.
Interesting if Beasley can find his stroke. |

One decent game and now Lance is the odd man out? Beasley plays no D and fouls too much. Lance can at least hit the occasional 3 and provide some energy on D. |
