If you hate Kuz so much how were you such a JC-stan?

Other comment I responded to you with was too extreme. I was never a JC stan and I don't hate Kuz.

I'll never understand the Rondo hate LG had for him this preseason when he was playing well.
I'm all for calling him out when he's a net negative. I'm sure he'll have his ups and downs this season.
But I look forward to him coming back. Relieving Bron of PG duties for some minutes every game. And making Brow look better on offense.

Rondo is essential this season at the moment. There's no other playmaker on the team (Caruso isn't a playmaker, he's a 3 and D guy who provides energy on offense). Not only will Rondo provide points for our bench unit (Lebron can barely sit in games because our bench loses our lead the moment he sits) but he can take some of the work away from Lebron if they're playing together.

Rondo must improve his defense though, and I think Vogel will be on him about that.

Rondo might become less essential throughout the season depending if we trade for someone or get someone on a buyout, but at the moment we need him

We desperately need someone to give us some playmaking when Lebron is off the floor. It’s been very, very bad so far. Hopefully Rondo can do that and do so effectively enough it makes up for his lack of defense. I’m also going to hope he works harder on defense this season when we are a team playing for something as opposed to last year when he was mentoring kids.

Whatever happens, you can tell he fits in. That is the thing. Some guys you can just sense the glove does not fight right. McGee for example. Kuzma so far. These dudes are hit and miss.

Rondo looked like Caruso, Dwight, AB, Green. Just such a great fit for the team and what they need. We will see if he does this consistently, but his skillset is exactly what we need for Lebron to rest, and also Lebron to be more aggressive off the ball. Not to mention we just need some high IQ offense, which Rondo can bring.

Rondo's impact on this game goes well beyond his stat-line.

Looked solid in limited time. I'd be fine if he stayed around 15-20 min a game all year.

His lack of defense won't be as obvious on this team. He is very important for us.

I’m just hopeful his playing is capped to about 15 mpg this season. He will be exposed playing much more than that defensively.

On the plus side, Vogel values defense so much that he’s not going to shy away from playing Caruso and Bradley like we saw tonight. Tonight’s rotation was actually really solid.

This is why Rondo is so important to us.

Yes Caruso is a great player, but Rondo has been, and still largely is, a great POINT GUARD. And we're lacking there

Great game from Rondo
