That's him for the past 4 years. I didn't expect that to change.

no one should or should have. He is who he is.

Thinking he would change cause he's on the Lakers was like thinking Byron Scott wasn't gonna run our team into the ground cause he got a "chance" to coach his dream team.

A.Len
Elfrid Payton
Seth Curry
MCW
James Ennis
Napier
Heck I would have even took a 42 year old Vince Carter at the vets min over him

Yeah. Was never a fan of this signing and yes, we wasted a slot on him when we badly need a big man.

Stephenson and a 2nd for Dedmon would really help the Lakers.

Sold.

But who in their right mind would want Lance?

There are several players I like on this list, specifically Davis. Gives us what we need, rim protection, rebounding, and defense. I’d even take Len in this instance.

Stephenson would get cut before even reporting for a physical and probably head back to Indiana.

His plane to ATL would be diverted 1/3rd of the way in.

Yeah this is why I can’t just be happy we got LeBron as you want Noma. We got the best player in the game & ended up utilizing our cap space on bad players. It’s irritating

Lance reminds me of a wannabe Ron Artest for some reason.

They're separate issues.

Lakers were on life support the past 5 years being out of the playoffs.

He jolted this team back to life. We whiffed on a max FA wanting to join the team and he did it by himself.

I didn't like the summer signings on the whole (though Rondo/JaVale are looking great) but I'm still hugely excited and happy we got LBJ.

This is step 1 IMO. Step 2 will be realized next summer, and I know some can't wait until then, but if you (like me) slogged through 5 years of the desert, I can wait one more season.

Lance is this team's Nick Young/Jordan Clarkson.

I'd rather have nick young than him tho.

At least his stupidity is funny and he wont dribble. Hell just catch and shoot.

The big difference being we're actually a good team with expectations now, so it's even more painful.

What hurts is the opportunity cost.

We have a gaping hole at backup center and that 4.5m would have easily lured one.

I'll settle for 0 minutes for Lance.

I'm okay with Lance but only if we dress him in the opponent's uni and let him give them his negative net numbers.

Well I think the aspect of that which hurts most is that we had not one, but TWO, solutions to that backup center problem in the palm of our hands already with Brook and Jules. To somehow lose both of them when it's now proving to be a big issue (which most predicted) is a notable red mark on an otherwise amazing summer.

I don't think it's fair to say the FO (bleep) up on everything outside of Lebron like some have, since Rondo and Mcgee look good so far and KCP will likely come around to being a decent 1-year signing. But one game in, the optics are pretty bad with Jules balling out and half of our signings looking like trash (Lance will probably remain that way the rest of the season).

Even if you forced Jules to play on a one-year QO, it still would've bridged the gap nicely (as far as fielding a fun, competitive team this year) from 2018 to 2019 when we could've signed another max player...okay, now I'm just venting...

I'm expecting us to make some moves come 12/15. Have 2 guys making 4-4.5m that are tradeable then in Lance/Beez. If we sit still then ouch.

I've been very anti-trading firsts, but I don't see how the Lakers resist packaging the pick with Lance and Beasley to get the the type of player that was an obvious priority even in the off-season.

The KCP blunder unfortunately will probably not be undone.

If that was the price to get LBJ, you have to bite that bullet.

Ask Cleveland how that felt when they were stuck with JR Smith and Tristan Thompson on huge contracts.

Listening to LeGM is not a recipe for success, particularly when he leaves. He wanted Stephenson too..

calm down.

KCP/Lance/Rondo are all on 1 year deals. Not the same.

If next year we sign them to 4 year deals yes, you can make that case.
