Detroit went from a team that was $482K below the tax to currently $2.6M with the acquisition of Svi Mykhailiuk and now Thon Maker. The trade with the Lakers for Mykhailiuk allowed Detroit to pursue Maker and stay below the tax. Maker has a $2.8M cap hit this season and $3.6M in 2019-20. He will become a restricted free agent in 2020.

I'll miss you Svi. Casualty of the LBJ window.
Maybe we shall see you in P&G again. |

If he could make 3s, he'd probably still be here. |

Svi would thrive in China, challenge Jimmer for MVP |

I hope Svi does well but he frustrated the hell out of me. The man has a great looking shot but one that does not go in enough to make him a consistent threat. Hope Bullock shows better consistency. |

Svi has really good defensive footwork...I was hoping Kuz could pick up something from him on that end |

If Svi had a 6'9 wingspan, he would have been a 1st rounder.
You can tell his shorter armspan is making him rush shots. I'm sure he'll adjust (heck JJ Redick's is worse) but I gather the Lakers didn't have the patience to develop him.
Bullock is a top notch shooter. I think we will like him a lot. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |
