I'm surprised they called him up this quickly. I do not expect much from him the next few weeks, and I thought the G League would be a great place for him to acclimate and start building.
I'm glad to hear he's fully recovered though. I'll be very happy, and surprised, if he proves effective at backup center this early after the summer he's had.
He needs to build up some strength top to bottom, and adjust to game speed. I'm a pessimist as to what he can accomplish the next couple months, but I'm optimistic what he could become given a season of conditioning.

Michael Beasley remains with family and away from the team. Rookie Moritz Wagner is available to play for the first time this season. Luke Walton, though, made it sound as if Wagner will play only if needed or if the game isn't close.
He should be an upgrade over Williams for backup 5 but he's not a great rebounder which is our biggest issue when McGee is out.
He can help space the floor more and bring the center further out. They don't even bother having a man on Williams near the three line.
He's an offensive upgrade no doubt. Anyone know if Wagner is good at boxing out like Brook Lopez?
he's not. strength down low was his weakness coming into the draft
I honestly looked at him as a good small ball option.
Offensively, He can shoot the J. Can take bigger guys off the dribble. Pass, rebound a little bit of everything. He will help for sure. On defense, I don't know if it can get worse?
I think we can work at that whole stopping the other teams best player at the end. "It is a work in progress".
I think Ingram plays a huge role here. Moe could on some nights. McGee on others. Alot of it has to do with communication and cohesion.

In summer league he was a good rebounder and a willing defender but without much strength. His shot in though looked like it needed a lot of work which coming out of college was looked at as a strength. I will be interested to see how that part of his game translates when he finally gets some time on the court.
I am a bit surprised he isn't in the G League to round into shape and get used to playing 5 on 5.
We are still thin at the PF spot which is why we are playing Hart at that position . Our lineup will be more complete if he proves to be a good rotational player.

Improvement from Moe yesterday, looking at his scoring, scoring efficiency, minutes played, lack of turnovers, and team faring well when he was on the floor.

Why is Mos 3 pt. Shooting so bad? He was almost 40 percent in college
Just barely getting back in shape probably, especially game shape.. Look at Svi when he got minutes at the beginning of this season. He looked like he was shooting a basketball for the first time in his life .
Hopefully he picks it up in the next month or so because he could be a nice mid season addition that nobody is really expecting.

Mo has a long way to go before he makes an impact on this team. The G-League is just what the doctor ordered. Time & patience is needed.
Yup. My thoughts exactly.
Good thing we have both McGee and Chandler at center now. We went from weak to deep real fast at the 5. We can now afford to keep Moe with South Bay and give him oodles of playing time.
