@ChrisBHaynes
ESPN Sources: Free agent guard Tyreke Evans meeting with the Lakers today. He met with Oklahoma City last night in Los Angeles.

@Trevor_Lane
Seriously, if Tyreke Evans can duplicate what he did last season on both sides of the ball he would easily be the Lakers' best non-LeBron signing.

The prospect of stealing Tyreke Evans from OKC after they met with him about signing....

Not sure if we can pay him what he wants, but, if he takes a discount to play with LeBron, we should definitely sign him.

Can play 3 positions including the weak spot for our team (back up PG). He will also be a guy that can easily be moved down the road if needed. Was a STUD this past year.

If we get Evans and keep Randle, build Magic a second statue with Rob on his back.

I'm guessing if we're going after Tyreke, we're getting ready to stretch Deng and then try to pay Tyreke the space it gives.

Don't get too hyped for him. Smells alot like using Lakers as leverage to get bigger contract.

Without looking it up, the Lakers would have to unload Deng with picks to make this happen.

Even if Randle only took the QO, that’d still only leave about 6.5 left for Evans, so they would have to unload Deng to make this happen.

No stretching though. Please no stretching. Stretching Deng to pull this off would be extremely shortsighted of the Lakers in their pursuit of signing Leonard next year outright.

Speaking of Leonard though, he gives the Lakers another trade asset in a potential deal for him.

Stretching Deng seriously jeopardizes space for next year. I hunk they’d rather give up two firsts for Deng than to stretch him.

Stephenson will be signed to the room exception. His signing is practically inconsequential to a potential Evans signing.

Magic knows that you need wing depth and lots of it.

If the Lakers have one or two or three injuries this year, they will keep chugging along. Pretty smart.

If Randle accepts the OQ we would have about 9m. Move Zubac and that goes up to about 10M. (possibly enough to split between Lopez/Evans)

Did not know this. Very important information, if true, because at this point they have the power to force Randle into taking that qualifying offer if they really, really wanted to.

Yet, your "sig" suggests otherwise. Not to mention a roster of "16." smh

Lakers can sign him to a $3m deal with Randle's cap hold.

$5m if Randle's deal starts at $10.5 a year.

how is it inconsequential? We cant offer Tyreke 4.5mil because we already gave it to Lance

Kinda seems pointless. I know he's a damn good facilitator but I'd rather we go after a real backup PG so Zo and Bron aren't forced to play all 48 minutes at the 1.

Tyreke Evans's real position IS point guard.

him as backup point guard would be a blessing for us.
