I don’t think running and being physical is that important anymore because the rule changes have made the game soft and put a lot more importance on the passing game. Pass blocking is still extremely important though and Goff isn’t really an elite qb. And you’re right the secondary has been disappointing. |
The rules this year has neutered defenses even more. The NFL wanted scoring to go up and they are getting what they wanted. |

| At least the prevent defense (i.e. staying back and not rushing the QB) gave Goff some confidence back. |
