Apparently, this game was the highest scoring game in MNF history. |

and, apparently, the first game in NFL history where both teams scored more than 50 points. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

Mahomes had 39.92 fantasy points and Goff had 39.12 fantasy points. That's just crazy. |

Don't forgot to give credit to Hekker. That last punt pretty much won us that game. |

Crazy fun game to watch. Glad the Rams came out on top in a game that became an impromptu home game to benefit the finest that LA has to offer - the First Responders. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

Feel bad for anyone who had TG in their fantasy league lineup this week which was probably everybody. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

In the one league where I have him, I still won, thanks primarily to Brees, Mike Evans, Jordan Reed, and DJ Moore. |

I think I've had enough of these "great" games. I would love to sprinkle in a few more not so great 39-10 games.
The bye week comes at a good time. Come back emotionally and physically rested, go to Detroit in the cold, hopefully get Talib back for the cold in Chicago, and go from there. _________________ "A metronome keeps time by using a Ringo" |

Do the Rams win this game if the field in Mexico wasn't an issue? Gotta think the home crowd helped them a bit. |

Yup. So many other Rams (Reynolds, Everett, Ebukam, et al) stepped up in a big way last night. Hekker's punt was huge.
Huge shout out to our DL yesterday. I didn't think they'd be able to put that kind of pressure on Mahomes but they did and at critical moments.
Was anyone else shocked McVay/Goff game plan was to go throw-for-throw against the Chiefs and win? I understood why he did it against the Saints because of their rushing defense but the Chiefs defense against the run isn't nearly as good. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Thankfully, we didn't have to find out. Awesome support from the LA fans last night.
I really wanted us to win that game but if we had lost it after that toe-to-toe slugfest, I'd be in a really crappy mood today. 9 lead changes in last night's game. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

One guy was pretty much a no-show however. How many times did you hear or see Ndamukong Suh mentioned or observed after or during a play?
(Though there is a lot of coverage of what is being called a cheap shot against Mahomes)

I don't think the atmosphere would be the same if it was on a neutral field location. Don't forget there were other festivities such as the pre-game honoring the firefighters that wouldn't figure into the game if this game were held in Mexico City. There were elements that were tailored to the LA crowd that wouldn't have been there in a neutral field location. |

So I've watched the replay of that a handful of times, don't see anything there worth calling a penalty on. Granted, I may be a bit Suh biased, but still I see nothing there. |

So the great debate today is was that the greatest regular season game in NFL history? I think it has to be. The crowd was pumped. So much to take in. So many twists and turns. So many big time plays on both ends by both teams. Over 100 points. Absolutely amazing game. I am just glad the Rams came out on top. I couldn't imagine losing a game like that. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

Imagine throwing 6 TD's and still losing the game....that was the kind of offensive game we had last night. |

It was hard enough for me, just sitting watching--and seeing my team win.
Speaking of Mahones, how should we compare him to Goff? Though it has taken me the last year and a half to warm up to Goff, just based on yesterday, I'm taking Goff. I hope I can take off my partisan hat here, but both had a couple of turd passes along with the many great ones, but it just seemed that Mahones' receivers were well open far more often than not, while Goff was threading the needle time after time. _________________ "A metronome keeps time by using a Ringo" |

It's definitely up there. A few others that come to mind:
Eagles/Giants Miracle at Meadowlands II, that 4th quarter comeback
Pats/Giants last game of undefeated season
Pats/Colts, the 4th quarter comeback by Manning |

I think so, they have the better defense. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Not trying to raining on the parade, but last night McVein almost cost us the game by not using running game to play call control offense once Rams had the lead late in the game. Best defense is not having the opposing offense on the field. |

They made the same mistakes that the Chargers did....only difference was our defense stopped them from advancing far enough to get into field goal range. |
