Sorry guys. Traveling right now. Figures the Lakers put together an excellent game that I can't cover.
Great job by Kuzma being the man tonight. Pretty crazy that he's a late-round rookie and the Lakers lean on him to carry the team. I was hoping he'd drop 30 tonight.
The other rookie, Hart, had a chance to win it in regulation on a drive to the rim, but the layup rolled out. Laker youth, though, playing strong.
And old man Frye wasn't too bad, either. Ennis also.
Anyway, wish I could have given a detailed write up.
Post your thoughts... |

Gutsy performance by short handed team. They stayed with the spurs and got rewarded.
Kuzma was a boss.
Hart, KCP, Ennis, Zubac and Frye key contributors.
When Kuzma takes over, the Lakers have a shot. Star in the making... |

DB safe travels!
I knew the Lakers were going to win this one. They matchup well with the Spurs.
I hope the Lakers keep Frye. I like his leadership and he is the ultimate pro to help keep the young guys in check.
Kuzma stepped up tonight which he needs to do when the team needs him. Hopefully he grows into a nice closer for this team.
Randle is just about running on empty. He needs to rest and prepare for next season. He deserves to get paid and retained by the Lakers. Forget about Bron if it means Randle is let go.
I hope the Lakers keep Zubac for at least one more year. He seems to get his hands on a lot of offensive rebounds and is always battling underneath the boards. I am not ready to give up on him this early.
The Lakers need a good backup PG (and not IT!). The Lakers need to continue to groom Ingram to play the PG position along with Ball-but they still need a good PG coming off the bench. Ennis needs to be replaced at the end of this year. Ingram adds stability in the backcourt.
The Laker future is bright with or without a big name FA this summer. The kids just need to keep working at their crafts and the team will be allright! _________________ Let them HATE so long as they FEAR! |

Great we won this one. They just won one over my expectations. I had 33 wins before season started. Really proud what they have done this season.
Extremely young team and its hard to play with young guys in this league. Well done to Luke and the guys for this win.
And we swept the Spurs.... |

Props to Luke for running the bench (with Kuz) during the 4th and OT. KCP came in for a minute and hit a big shot. MONSTER game for KUZ and good effort by KCP. Our bench was incredible. Frye and Ennis played GREAT, while Hart and Zu also played well. |

Safe travels DB!
Great win and great potential spoiler role if the Spurs miss the playoff.
Kuz and KCP had good games and it was nice to see the bench unit playing so well. Frye hitting shots, Hart getting crucial boards, Zu and Ennis with key contributions. |

Lakers need to pay attention to Kuzma. He has a nice
set of tools which needs to be developed but he's better
than other guys that get much more press. He and Randle
should be Lakers for a long time... _________________ Lakers need to build a freaking team ! |

Safe travels DB.
I could only watch the last quarter and OT but from what I saw I was really impressed with Hart. Even though a lot of his shots didn't go in he was all over the place making plays that aren't on the stat sheet. Loved the drive at the end of regulation. Instead of settling for a perimeter or three he did the smart savvy option which was drive the ball, and either score, or get fouled. Somehow the shot did not go in (that kind of night for him) but what a great overall game from him. The Lakers do not win last nights game without him.
Kuzma is going to be a spectacular offensive player and if he can improve on defense, he could an absolute monster. MVP of the game.
Frye had a very impressive game. He was very instrumental in the win.
I love Zubac, his game reminds me of Mchale as he always has his arms up and shoots with the same style. He is so young and I have no doubt he will become a good maybe even great center.
Props to KCP as well. |
