Unless they both play well.

If Dlo goes 2-12 and Ball 0-3 that would suck though.

It would be a win for the Lakers in that case. DLo has no effect on the game if he is not scoring.

Some may argue that with his current team, he doesnt impact the game even when he does score.

Was it like that when Shaq returned to LA in 2004?

Shaq's first game against the Lakers was an event. Christmas 2004.

Was the fan base torn at that point?
Half Kobe half Shaq?

I think we all need to, I know I do personally, need to show him a lot of respect and appreciate all that he did for us last year helping keep it together through a tough season.”

Except for 2/3 wins they got when he came up big in clutch.

As long as the Lakers win Lonzo can go for 0 and DLO for 50 and I wouldn't give a lick.

Unfortunately this thread will invariably degenerate into a DLO v. Lonzo...probably before gametime tbh.

Should be an easy when, but knowing this Laker team they will find a way to blow it.

There were definitely a lot of fans who thought choosing Kobe over Shaq was a mistake. And with the Heat being contenders while we went through our retool, there were a lot of debates on message boards. Many in the media, even LA media, were making grandiose statements like Kobe would never win again. Tonight's game is very interesting and should be fun, but doesn't approach those levels.

Definitely did his thing in the Orlando and Atlanta victories.

Nets struggled badly when Knicks played aggressive defense. They can't create much outside of DLo and Dinwiddie. RHJ has been finishing great inside the paint this season and hustles well. Rest can knock down the shots on their day. Lakers should win if they defend well like in recent games.

If Lonzo plays lazy, again, DLO could go for 35+ tonight...

I feel like DLo is gonna go off tonight.

If he does, I hope he goes 40+ and takes the L of course.

If we lose this game then we aren't ready, this is a big game as far as proving we can bounce back from a tough defeat even Reggie last night was pinpointing the Lakers as a team that needs to take care of opponents.

Well we aren't a playoff team if that's what you're thinking. But this is the kind of game we really should win if we plan on winning 30-35 this year.
