If he comes in with the right attitude, absolutely. If he plays the right way it will help us win more games. I do NOT want Boston getting our pick next year.

If he buys into the program, after sleeping on it, I'm ok with it. A change of pace/style guard off the bench I suppose.

Yes. It is low risk high reward just like Rondo.

I dont see how he is low risk. He can really mess with the new culture we are trying to instill in our young players.

If our players are that weak that one player can come in qndnmess up the culture then we don't have high character guys.

If we had a real role available for him, I'd be on board. Low risk. But there is very little upside here for him unless Ball struggles.

I dont expect Ball to struggle, so I just don't see how Rose fits in. Rather have someone like Barbosa. Ennis.

Someone who I can see getting 10-15 mins/game each night and be ok with it. If Ball is out, JC would slip in and the backup would get more like 25 mins.

Guys stop saying "low risk". A veteran player with dark off court behavior and a bad attitude is a risk. Especially on a young squad learning how to be an adult in the league. It's the reward thats low.

I'd take Ennis over Rose too. He's not a bad backup PG and won't skip out on a team.

I would rather have Barbosa. Higher efg% career and a better 3 pt shooter.

Also a much better fit for the culture in my opinion, I don't want Rose's Chicago Buddies hanging around the team.

I don't approve or agree with the decision but I won't really complain about it too much either, I can stand it, I guess... Don't think I'll be able to root for him due to his history on and off the court from the past year.

Throughout his history in the league he has been a good scorer. He has also consistently shot the ball poorly from 3pt range, displayed low IQ, struggled with injuries, and prioritized himself over his team. Pass.

Guys, Rose's All Star days are done. You can't count on that anymore. He's a marginal player at best now.

Not good fit with our system, can't shoot or move the ball

History of behavioral problem, will probably break down again in a rebuilding mode.

The negatives far outweigh what production he has left on the court.

Are we forgetting this is a guy coming off a sexual assault trial, no less than a year ago? While he wasn't found liable, theres something to be said about putting oneself in those type of situations.

More potential problems than it's worth. Rose is still young and he thinks he can be a star again, that's not going to help Lonzo. Stick with a guy like Clark or Ennis, we don't need the drama and Lonzo needs the minutes.

I'd be fine with it because it's a 1 year deal. I'd prefer Ennis, but if the FO thinks they can get him to fit in with the program and he wants to come, sure. If he makes waves, they can send him to the corn field.

I can't imagine he would be happy to back up Balls.

He must prefer the idea of contending and maybe starting in Cleveland, if Kyrie wants out.

I would prefer a guy that's happy with 10 mins a game, that's not gonna be Rose.

I would only say yes if he becomes an offensive specialist off the bench, getting

considerable minutes like Clarkson or maybe a bit less. But I would prefer

an energy guy with great passing ability and a good all around team game.

What decade are some of you posting from?

Even Westbrook only plays 34 minutes a game. The days of complete games in baseball or 40 minute starters is basketball is over. Rose will easily play 20 minutes a game maybe more if Lonzo tires easily.

Wouldn't strongly oppose, we need someone to create offense when Lonzo sits.

Rose is still a talent but given his injuries and his AWOL episode in NY, I'll pass.

The poll is very close. Almost a coin toss. I wonder if the Lakers are waiting on his decision or have they moved on.

It started out with those in favor of Rose about 2 to 1.

This might mean the more casual fan buys the narrative that Rose is a lazy troublemaker as the no votes came much later.
