Loved The Hitman Hart tonight. Kid needs to be playing 30+ MPG. No Lance Stephenson.

Seriously... Hart should not only be starting, but closing games.

He's probably our 4th best player right now behind Bron, BI, and Kuz. He needs to start and close games.

Pretty good game from Josh tonight, his passing leaves a lot to be desired tho. If he starts, the bench would be even worse than it is right now but yeah start Josh

Maybe we can focus first on having a good starting lineup before we get worried about a damn bench?

He needs to start. Other than some silly fouls and missed coverage on Stauskaskas, nice game.

Debatable. Kuz was hands down better last season. Playing him at the 5 is hurting him a lot

I thought Josh started out the game shaky. Lakers were up when Josh entered the game, and the Blazers promptly went on a 18-4 run. Looked poor defensively and had a TO. Glad he settled down a bit. However, Lakers bench got killed in this game.

It only got killed because Stauskus for the first time in his career decided to not suck and have the game of his life.

KCP tends to always start off slow but gets rolling once he settles in, Hart is a good player.. we sometimes forget what a nice talented 3-D player KCP is.

True but Josh also did look pretty bad in the 1Q. Just a bit OOC and forcing it. And his defense has always been kind of meh. He picked it up as the game went on though and had a great game overall.

Hart has always appear to me to be a more down-to-earth type of player. If you give him stable minutes he is going to give you stable output. Kuz is a lot more streaky and can occasionally have very good games. In the long run, I believe Hart has a better potential than Kuz.

My favorite player not named LeBron.

When our highly touted draft picks are laying bricks you can still count on Josh Hart 👍

That’s when Stauskaskas went off. Hart and Lonzo were switching off their men but late on closing out on Stauskaskas.

Yeah I agree with this. If Kuz were gobbling up mins at the 4 instead of 5, he'd look more like his old self. We gotta find guys who can make use of that available back up C time.

McGee (20) | Wager or Zubac (14) | LeBron (4)
LeBron (18) | Kuzma (30)
Ingram (32) | LeBron (12) | KCP (4)
J Hart (30) | Pope (18)
Lonzo (28) | Rondo (20)

this is the best rotation I can think of as we are currently constructed that puts Kuz back in his natural position, gives Hart the role and mins he deserves, and also gives KCP enough mins to keep Klutch happy.

Props to J Hart for always being ready to contribute.

Great game Josh. Way outplayed KCP

Lebron was great, we can expect that. Rondo and McGee were effective, they did enough of their jobs, if Lonzo and a big can step in the other minutes, then that is three positions covered.

So much of this season the proving ground on who will be starters and emerging stars, along with winning is going to be "who can rock the jump shot?"

Last night, KCP, Kuzma, and BI did not. Hart did, which is only going to build that groundswell for Hart to start over KCP.

But this is going to be an on-going theme, who plays well, and who especially shoots well. Round one of 82 to Josh Hart.

His finishing ability at the rim is insane. So strong.

And when he was switched on to big men, he played them as well as you could for being outsized by 6-7 inches (Collins for example who hit a nice hook shot over him but Hart was bodying him up).

I’m not sure I agree that Kuz was hands down better last year. Yes, Kuz had more points, rebounds, and assists per 36 than Hart. But Hart had a higher true shooting percentage, win shares per 48, and BPM. Overall, Kuz was a lot better on offense and Hart was a lot better on defense.

Defense is overlooked when it comes to accolades, but it is important.

I agree though that playing Kuz at the five will be a big challenge for him. I’d like to see what happens when Zubac or Wagner get backup minutes.
