It’s a shame he basically has to punt half the season in terms of effort just so he can have the legs to do what he did today. Getting old sucks…. |
Putting up 25.6p/7r/8a 54%-41% shooting in a season where he suppose to be coasting or punting is absorb… 90% of the league can’t even put up that type of numbers. |

That’s what makes him absurd. Him coasting/being old is still an all-nba caliber player. It’s just that in his prime…his coasting in the regular season was still mvp contender lol |

Hundreds of times has a player shot 72% at the rim. Hundreds of times has a player shot 40% from three.
2023-24 LeBron James is the first player in NBA history to do both in the same season. (min 300 attempts of each)
• 73.0% at the rim (537 fga)
• 41.3% from three (361 3pa)
Just crazy |

One of those GOAT games. Dude has had a lot of them in his career, but at the end of his 20th season in a game that meant something to both teams is just iconic Lebron. We're lucky to get to watch him do it, especially in a Lakers jersey. |

Lebron has looked much healthier than last season at the same time. Completely different playing style. He was attacking the paint like crazy while shooting 41% from the 3, we didn’t have that last playoff |

With Playoff Bron leading this roster (with a healthy AD). I like our chances against anybody in a 7 game series outside of Jokic and a healthy Embiid. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

IKR!!! It seems some want to blow it up because it’s his fault. Just can’t wait to get back to the winnings ways in the years just before he got here. _________________ “When it looks as if it is a realistic possibility, I want to focus on winning a ship like it’s a goal that can’t be denied. Lets add a couple more:
FIRST PLAYER IN HISTORY WITH
- 40k points / 11k rebounds / 11k assists
FIFTH PLAYER IN HISTORY WITH
- 25+ points / 10+ rebounds / 15+ assists / 5+ steals in a game |

I'm pretty surprised he was able to shoot 41% for the season.

And more:
He played 2504 minutes. That must rank high up there for a 39 year old. He averaged 35.3 minutes per game, well more than just about anyone would expect. Then again, it is how well did he play during all those minutes?
How about this season (on top) vs his career (below), which I'd say is the best career ever (separate from being the GOAT).
Code: | FG% 3P 3PA 3P% 2P 2PA 2P% eFG% FT FTA FT% ORB DRB TRB AST STL BLK TOV PF PTS
.540 2.1 5.1 .410 7.5 12.8 .592 .599 4.3 5.7 .750 0.9 6.4 7.3 8.3 1.3 0.5 3.5 1.1 25.7
.506 1.6 4.6 .348 8.3 15 .555 .547 5.6 7.6 .736 1.2 6.3 7.5 7.4 1.5 0.7 3.5 1.8 27.1 |
This can only be described as a career year, one of many.
Then there is the Per 36 minutes, with this season again on top.
Code: | FG% 3P 3PA 3P% 2P 2PA 2P% FT FTA FT% ORB DRB TRB AST STL BLK TOV PF PTS

No doubt, when he picks up the energy in areas outside scoring, he elevates the team. We need that consistently if we are going anywhere in the playoffs. |

Lebron is allowing the lowest Fg% in the NBA this year, and that’s with him not trying sometimes.
Playoff lebron is a legit 2 way superstar along with AD. He just wasn’t healthy last year. |

Lebron can only go into Avatar mode so often at this stage. He did it yesterday against New Orleans. I'd be surprised if he had tue same energy tomorrow. That's why I have the game as a coin toss.
In the playoffs, I think we get that one game per series plus once in any elimination game. _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night. |

Even injured his defense was really good in last year’s playoffs. He took on the Jokic assignment at points. He rotated and protected the backline throughout the playoffs.
But yea healthy LeBron is a whole different animal on defense. In 2020 he flat out shut down Murray down the stretch. |

Lebron age 39 season has to be the greatest season of a 39 year old ever. Especially if you compare him to other greats:
Michael Jordan at 39 was playing his last season with the Wizards. He looked old, looked nothing like his prime.
Kobe retired at 37.
Lebron physically doesn’t even look that much different than his prime. Compare Wizards Jordan with Bulls Jordan and there’s a huge difference |

He’s a beast but unless he goes balls to the wall for 40+ we have no chance and he cannot do that. Maybe he was tired early because of the altitude, but that’s cold comfort |

No arguing what he doing is historic. Truly amazing.
But comparing him to his prime, or even 5 yrs ago, is being generous.
2024 James can play hard in spurts. He also is not attacking the basket or defense anywhere close to prime. So again, impressive but not “Lebron F’n James” of old.
Agree that he looks amazing for his age. What he has in common with those older examples provided is not making or early exits from the playoffs.
Playoffs is about being locked in the entire game. From stars to role players. Any weak links in effort or focus jumps off the screen. Dominating the ball for 20 secs, settling for poor shots and 7 TOs is not winning bball.
James is what he is. Remarkable for his longevity. Still a damn good player. But needs to become more role player than centerpiece of the team. Not going to happen though.
I expect the Lakers to steal a game, maybe two. I’m certain James will have a major role in doing it. But relying on him to win a series, especially against the defending champs is too much to ask.
It is what it is. |

Where is everybody, all i see here is compliments?
Goat frontrunner, always been. He's been an absolute stat padding joke with the Lakers.
Keep focusing on dlo, ham, his "injuries", ad, solomon hill etc.. |

LeBron had 7 TOs last night compared to Dlo’s 1, and the Nuggets 4 total as a team, but when DLo made that one, LeBron berated him like he was the dumbest player to ever put on a Lakers jersey. Not that I support DLo and his 11% 3 point shooting last night, but LeBron is supposed to be the guy everybody loves to play with, it’s not good for chemistry to make 7 TOs and give a guy hell for making 1.

This is the last great version we are likely gonna see from LeBron, it sucks that we are gonna likely waste another very good season from him |

Agreed I saw that too. Unfortunately the blame for last night's loss is not just Dlo and LBJ really did "blow it" I think. |
