Don’t wanna look beyond Denver and anything can happen.
But that is a concern against either Boston or Miami. They will collapse the paint a lot and have the defenders that Denver lacks. Bron can not have a Finals like that.
He has to watch tape with Kidd and figure this out within this series. It will come again. Malone knows this strategy can work, he will be telling his team they can come back playing that D. |
Yall really think building a wall would work against LeBron?🤨 _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. And people who would be happy in heaven if Christ were not there, will not be there."

drae wrote: | Look guys, the problem with Lebron in the 4th is a very easy problem to fix. It's not about Bronny, Lebron was carving up in the first half. It's not about being gassed. It's not about being injured. Here's two images from the 4th.
Here's the first image with 80 seconds left to go. Dwight's out of the game here which means more shooters and spacing. Three people have collapsed on Lebron in the paint with another hedging his bets. AD is wide open in the corner, there's a 2 on 1 on the other side. This is a simple drive and kick for Lebron but instead he tried to force the issue against three defenders, fell, and turned the ball over.

Here's another image with three and a half minutes to go. I think this was a fast break because there's only 4 Lakers in the frame. Lebron's going for a layup, three people have collapsed on him in the paint, Dwight's also in there which ruins the spacing a bit (I doubt he'll be in the 4th quarter future games). But even with one Laker not in the frame and Dwight ruining spacing, Caruso is wiiiiiiiiiiide open in the corner. Another simple drive and kick, Lebron tries for the layup against three and blows it.

The problem with Lebron in this game was that he was calling his own number when he shouldn't be. Probably because he wanted to show everyone he was MVP and blew it. Also Dwight shouldn't be in there in the 4th. I expect both these problems to be fixed next game, they're simple fixes |
I have no issues with those 2 plays you posted...
First play he was being aggressive. I seen him make that play a ton of times. That usually go for a layup or a kick out 3 depending on who’s under the basket. It was just unfortunate he slipped on that play.
2nd play was one of the story of the night and been in an issue on how he is being officiated. Look like there some contact on his arm on that play. Once again I have no issue with him being aggressive on that play. It’s what we want from him late in the game instead of settling for long 3s.
I think him and Vogel will make adjustments game 3... i would actually still play Dwight early in the 4th and maybe survey on how effective he is. With him AD in there really makes it tough for Jokic. Jokic only had 19ptd until that last 3mins. |

I think given his miles and the work he has to put in to be a creator at age 35, it's only natural that AD is and should be our offensive closer at the end of games.
LBJ is like that old school running back that wore the other team down. Just relentless and physical.
This is why I think it's so important for the Lakers to find a playmaking creator as a FA or trade this offseason. Have to lessen LBJ's load. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Agreed and this is why I prioritize a playmaking creator above a 3&D.
(I'd love to have both of course). |

Don't get me wrong. 3/D is nice.
But sometimes having too many one dimensional 3/D guys is also problematic.
Like does anyone have any confidence seeing Green/KCP dribble the ball more than once? _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I think Lebron bounces back with a big game tonight and we get the W.
Every time he gets called out for slipping or the media starts pushing the AD is the man narrative he cranks it up. |

AD look like he the best player in the series... so is this dude. Best duo since Shaq-Kobe, ok maybe Steph-KD is there too but Steph defense is the worst of all 6 |

Steph and KD played as a trio alongside Klay.
AD and LeBron is a clear cut duo, much like Kobe and Shaq.
Lets see if they have what it takes to win as many together as those legends did. _________________ I miss you Kobe. I miss you Gigi. |

I would hope that LBJ realizes that he has a historically great performing AD on his team and would continually feed him. I mean, he's 8 years younger. This is precisely who LBJ needed. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

LeBron isn't where he is because he backs down.
Look for him to get all up in Nuggets tonight. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

You mean the whole team wasn’t there.
AD 0 rebounds.
Rondo was back to pre-bubble.
Kuz is MPJ’s b***h. _________________ |

Agreed. Clipper/Rocket-like effort. We better not see that kinda (bleep) again. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

30/10/11 on 61% shooting
This game was about Lebron's 5 TO in the first half, bad 3 pt shooting (6/26), and getting clowned on rebounding (25-44). |

Our old guys (James and Rondo) just exerted so much energy tonight for that comeback all for naught. _________________

He has looked off since spraining that ankle... Not moving the same I mean.
Tonight was about Denver having a 3rd guy showed up in Grant... While the Lakers only shooting 23% from 3. Getting out rebounded 44-25 is just horrible energy of the whole team. |

I guarantee you he wants to win more than anyone. His age is showing. Playoff games every other day is taking its toll. Gonna be 36 soon. |

The best player in the NBA is going to be 36 soon. That's crazy. He's been the best player since the Heat run. Only Dirk & KD were his equals for a time. |

His age is showing? He's still the best player in the game at 35. Games every other day, but no travel involved is huge. |

Watch his 2018 playoff run. He’s not playing at that level. You could make the argument that he’s facing better competition now but this Lakers team is several times better than that Cavs team as well. He hasn’t looked like the playoff Lebron I was expecting...still great....but not the world eater he once was. |
