I think he's pacing himself..I know he had 40 but i still think he has an extra gear. Or i hope. Our playoff aspirations hang on Lebron being able to get to that next level. Can he?

dude dropped 50 on the road against the most stacked team since Bill Russel's and almost took a game, bout 20 months ago. Now he got AD instead of Tristan. Yes, he can

Despite this illustration of his value, this forum and the organization will still turn on him if he loses in the playoffs via the FT line.

Well, if we lose this year because he can’t hit free throws down the stretch then I don’t know what you would expect from this fan base..
No one is in your face during a free throw. A Goat should be able to come through in those situations, no?
It’s 100% on you, bro. LeBron is balling right now and hopefully he’ll kick it up another notch in the postseason.
We got a Great shot at this thing

I dont trust Lebron at the free throw line at all for the simple fact that he's not a good ft shooter.

2018 played 22 games and 42 minutes overall for that playoff. That takes a toll on your body. It takes a freak of nature to be able to produce like that again at 35 years old and having been in the league for 17 years. If he does elevate his game nobody is beating us. Like nobody is beating us it wont happen no matter who you put against us. But i have my doubts he can. We'll see dude it'll be fun thats for damn sure.

Has LeBron ever lost a playoff game because of his free throw shooting? I can recall regular season games but no playoff ones. It’s obviously possible that it could cost them a game, but there are far more likely reasons that the Lakers could drop a playoff game.

Lebron is fully aware he is a sub 70% FT shooter. So he's evolved. He avoids the FT line like the plague late in 4th quarters. And that avoidance is my worry against top tier competition. Cause that means he won't put two feet in the paint heading downhill when we need it most.

Wade said recently that LeBron can play at a high level until he’s 40.. I kinda don’t want to get ahead of myself but now I believe it, he ages like wine.

Interesting article on a few of the active players who actually raise their production in the playoffs (the vast majority of players play worse in the playoffs). Good news for the Lakers - both AD and LeBron are on that list. LeBron’s playoff numbers in particular are actually absurd, particularly in the Finals and even more so if you look at the stretch from 2012 to 2018. Over the course of that 2012 to 2018 NBA Finals span he averaged 30.5 points, 10.7 rebounds, 8.0 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.0 blocks. And remember that’s against the 2012 Thunder with KD Harden and Westbrook, the 2013 and 2014 Spurs with Leonard and the big three still playing well, the 2015 Warriors without Love and Irving, the 2016 Warriors that won more regular season games than any team in history, and the 2017 and 2018 Warriors that basically added KD to the 73 win team (the second year of which the Cavs didn’t even have Kyrie). You could argue that all those Finals opponents were better than any of the teams he might face this year.

It’s completely reasonable to wonder whether LeBron can up his game in the playoffs at this stage of his career given the mileage. But the guy has undeniably raised his game to another level in the playoffs time and again even against the best opponents. So I wouldn’t be surprised if he does so again.

[Trudell] LeBron James is out tomorrow at Golden State with a sore groin.

So you’ve never seen anyone have their eyesight change in their 30’s? I had friends who actually had to get glasses. Maybe you need to get out more.

AD is probable. Good opportunity for Kuzma and Kieff to carry some of the production.

"Your friend" isn't an all world athlete who spends 7 figures a year working on all aspects of his body either. There's little kids who have to get glasses that's irrelevant to say the least

I can promise you if his eye sight was at all a problem he'd get contacts, surgery or whatever to fix it as much as possible.

He's out there nightly dropping flawless full court passes that only a few other people in the world could consistently do and draining 3's.. His eye sight is just fine.

He can't exactly say "load managing" or rest when he said earlier in the year he would play every game if healthy.

Didn't seem like he had a sore anything yesterday, probably just load management.

Let's see what our role players can do against the Warriors

I’m glad the Lakers are doing load management with LeBron, as we get closer to the playoffs it should be a common theme that we use the load management on guys like LeBron & AD.

As much as I’d like both of them to rest, AD is aware of the teams stat when Lebron is not on the floor. He definitely has a lot of pride and wants to change that narrative.

That win at OKC with no Lebron and AD was one of the most entertaining games this season.
