and when the rookie point guard goes through struggles like other rookies this whole forum is gonna hate him.
I don't know why people think relying on any rookie is gonna be a good idea after seeing the realities of developing non instant star prospects.
No one at the 4 or 7 is gonna be an instant star, we don't have the luxury to rely on someone. If you somehow keep the pick, that dude is coming off the bench for sure _________________ “Life is too short. You have to keep it moving.” - Kobe |

What? Im not saying he’s dog crap. I obviously think he has skills. But as far as an expendable valuable trade piece, he’s the one that would get the most return... he has hella promise, but considering our timeline - if they try to get someone on contract somewhere else (non free agent), he’s gonna be the one to get the deal done. _________________ DEAR BASKETBALL |

Hey, Lonzo has the sixth highest BPM in his draft class so far ahead of guys like Tatum, Fox, and Mitchell. _________________ Under New Management |

at the very least, the rookie PG would be able to shoot and make defenses honest. _________________ We only celebrate championships.

who knows.
Did everything you assume about BI and Lonzo before the draft come true? What if this rookie struggles with his shot due to the different in the NBA three point line? _________________ “Life is too short. You have to keep it moving.” - Kobe |

Same here. Really, the only horrible thing the Lakers did with that trade was not keeping Lopez at a bargain price. If we had kept Lopez and Randle, the outlook of the team would likely be a lot different now with even more options for improvement this season. |

I am right there behind you on the Zo express. Can't believe so many Laker fans still haven't comprehended the massive impact he had on our team last year. If Jason Kidd can do one positive thing for this team, please let it be molding Zo into what Kidd was in his prime. |

He has a lot to work on, but holy heck, if his foundation is +1-2 BPM guy on defense and passing alone while shooting 50% on his FTs, imagine how good he could be with even a little offensive improvement.
Now imagine him with a lot of offensive improvement.
That should get folks excited without calling Zo a future HOFer or calling him a bust when his worst is still best BPM guard in his draft class so far. _________________ Under New Management |

Do LG.com folks like watching Zo play? Just from an aesthetic standpoint. I'm curious if he entertains the posters here when he's on the court healthy. _________________ Under New Management |

Other than his cringy FT shooting and frequent cold nights from 3, he's entertaining to watch. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

If we take Garland you don't have to trade Zo, it's would be very similar to the guard set up he had when he was at UCLA, grabs the board to lead breaks, in the half court more or less moves to the 2.
I'm not trading Zo for the # 7 and CHI trash, unless it's part of an AD type trade.
He's had injury issues and even with subpar shooting, when healthy and on the court he is an impact player on the game in multiple ways... |

Why? He is extremely one-dimensional on the break, hes either going to pass or brick the shot.... |

One of the most fun players to watch ever IMO. In a sick way, his shooting struggles only add to the excitement for me, because it makes it so thrilling when he hits shots. I've never been more hopeful to see a player prove the haters wrong. |

I enjoy watching him play, but I like defense. Only I cringe when he shoots FTs. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |
