lol what was he supposed to say? That he wants them to succeed and kick his team ass every season?
and loser? Dude is a multibillionaire. He's winning in life. |
he is supposed to be polite and say that he just worries about his team, not that he is rooting for other people to fail. Him being a billionaire is fine, he is winning at that, doesn't change the fact that it is a loser mentality to root for others to fail. |
What's wrong with rooting for other teams to lose? |
The problem I have with it is that there is no reason for it. Just worry about yourself and try to be the best you can. Hoping for others to fail/lose seems childish. |
I don't see a problem with it. |
Good to know. |
Good to know you have a problem with it as well. |
You should also know that I have a problem with the way he complained to Stern about the Chris Paul trade, I won't ever forgive him for that. |
Looking out for the best interest in his team, can't fault him for that. |
That wasn't his complaint. Maybe you should look it up |
I'm sure he had his team's best interests at heart when he complained. |
Or maybe he just wanted the Lakers to fail. |
Which would be in his team's own beat interest. |
no his team's best interest is to win a championship, having one team not succeed only helps the odds, he would have to be rooting for everyone else to fail for that. He doesn't, only the Lakers. |
Bettering the odds is in his teams best interest. |
Yes but he isn't worrying about fully bettering the odds, only marginally improving them, so no it isn't in the best interest. It is in his interset, but not the best. |
What else would you really have him doing? I'm sure he keeps a close watch on teams in his conference, division, and seeded around his and hopes they lose and he wins. |

I would have him shut up and not talk at all about other teams. As I said before, worry about his own team and building them up rather than hoping for others to fail. |

Watching the Lakers is like being addicted to cocaine, every game you tell yourself it's the last time you'll watch them but you keep coming back. |

If I owned a team I'd be rooting for teams in my conference to lose, especially if it bettered my chances at improving my situation. |
