Kevin won't show his face, but I'm sure he'll lurk to take a peek at the responses for a day or two at least.

This popped up on my twitter feed. I am curious of peoples thoughts if any. It has clearly lit a fire.

They should start a sign up to help the Black and Brown people born and raised here.

Georgia criminal probe into Trump's attempts to overturn 2020 election quietly moves forward

Quote:
As Donald Trump returns to Georgia later this month, criminal investigators in the state have been quietly conducting interviews, collecting documents and working to build a line of communication with congressional investigators as they aim to build a case against the former President for his alleged attempts to overturn the state's 2020 election results.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis kicked off her investigation with a splash earlier this year, when she fired off a round of letters to Georgia officials asking them to preserve documents related to Trump just a month after she took office.

Since then, her investigation into Trump's efforts to upend Georgia's 2020 presidential election results has been more discreet as she juggles the early stages of the Trump probe with an avalanche of backlogged cases and rising violence in the Atlanta area.

We are all seeing the issue on the Tx border... on MSNBC, CNN of 200000 immigrants coming over a month.

we may see a Republican president in 2024 if this combined with Afghan immigrants are coming to America unchecked. Judge this any way you want but the one thing we learned during Trump's presidency is that Dems and Gop all agree on this issue. This isn't about DACA or any other legal path.

Obama was the Deporter and chief so he was immune to this.

the GOP will exploit this in a way only they know how to do.

My post was in regards to narrative building out there. MSNBC had the TX border on this morning with iirc Obama’s ex border chief. Dems are now claiming it’s a problem yet don’t throw solutions at it. Let’s be honest, they are scared to.

Now the Montana gop are already laying the ground work in regards to afghan refugees.

Immigration imho will be 1A or 1B going into 2024. No one has a solution because TBH the only real one involves getting Mexico and our military involved.

Jerry Brown sent the national guard to our border which had a little effect. Why not militarize our border while keeping worker visas and Daca.

Stop the War On Drugs and Cartel die off
South Americans can enjoy their countries again.

Are there actual numbers showing these people crossing or are we being lied to?

We are after all a nation of immigrants through and through. I think this will blow over unless there is some terrorist act that happens

In relation to Afghan refugees... If Osama Bin Laden was responsible for 3-4000 deaths.. We are responsible for near 100,000. and laying the groundwork for the Taliban to takeover the whole country.. worse than it was before? Trillions spent? 20 years wasted..

I am trying to think of what fears they will use to paint the refugees as dangerous?

"I strongly oppose the resettlement of these Afghan nationals in Montana," he tweeted.

California (5,255) and Texas (4,481) will receive the largest numbers of the first wave, while smaller populated states like Oklahoma and Missouri will receive 1,800 and 1,200 respectively. Michigan, Florida and Georgia will both receive more than 1,000 Afghans each. New York will receive 1,143 and Arizona will receive 1,610.

However, Washington D.C., along with Hawaii, South Dakota, West Virginia and Wyoming, will not receive any refugees in the initial wave.

In regards to the bolded that is 100% true, but it’s starting to become an issue. Part of the reason California school systems (primarily LAUSD) is so jacked up is because of overcrowding.

At some point we have to reevaluate the process. I know hard core dems, and people in the Hispanic community who have gone through the process legally that want a overhaul of our immigration system.

Constantly taking people in is noble in the same way as us pushing our moral beliefs on other countries.

Eventually you have to look at it and see a change of plans is needed.

The funny thing is GOP say it’s so DEMS get the brown vote but culturally the Hispanic community is pretty conservative. That’s changing a little due to faith in general skewing away from church, but the right GOP candidate could easily flip the script.

The gop say what Hispanic voters want to hear. The dems messaging is always about pathway to citizenship, ICE and the overall open arms of America. Problem is they don’t vote. Legal immigrants vote and they don’t want open borders and they want less govt. Obviously the younger generation are at odds with the older working class but as that demographic ages they skew more conservative.

Trump ruined it for the GOP. It’s crazy that they insist on continuing to claim him speaking to a small but vocal group.

There will be a guy/girl GOP candidate with zero trump baggage that will rise.

Tell them to stop being so stingy
They think if anyone follows them from the (bleep) place they came from they will ruin this paradise here

I do understand the irritation it must be to see undocumented peoples earning citizenship on what they might think is an easier path.

My girlfriend escaped Saudi Arabia and is on her pathway to citizenship now

I think 99% of the people coming in know what Gratitude is and truly feel it and will be expressive of that VS Republicans who think we should have to put up with all the crimes they, Republicans, commit against this country and its citizens

You are talking about people taking the proper channels to become citizens. Those are in fact the ones who embrace “ the rule of law”. Of course asylum seekers are too legal but looked at , specifically by the right and some moderate left as an issue.

How it’s supposed to be is people apply and wait. Go home when travel visa is up or get an extension.

And Native Americans are overlooked.

Have you seen what’s happening at the TX border?

We need an immigration policy, and probably need to do away with sanctuary state status. We have the resources to accommodate if they were managed well but they are not. Not even close. We are a wasteful country but that’s who we are.

Just because living in poverty here is better than other countries doesn’t mean that we should be so open.

Also letting immigration run itself widens the divide. Not in just ideology but mostly the growing economic divide. That is what is killing us and we clearly aren’t smart enough to figure it out.
