Bill Maher got in his 5-10 minutes complaining about the 10-20 random people on twitter giving him a hard time. What a luxurious problem to have. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better”

So the guy who who has probably required several surgeries over the years for patting himself on the back too many times for being abusive (bleep) gets upset about being given a hard time on social media.
How precious. The guy who derides the idea of safe spaces etc. needs one himself.

Bill Maher brings to mind Stephen A Smith. He uses a controversial persona to rile and attract listeners. His net worth of $100 million far outweighs SAS $10 million. I'd settle for either. It's a love to hate relationship. Kinda Lenny Bruce like. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Howard stern interviewed Bill Maher this week. Great interview, and interesting to hear him being interviewed rather than the other way around. I was surprised by a few things he said, including his admission that he never smokes pot before real time... I could have sworn he did.

Mayor Pete calling out the Credibility of The Trump Administration and needing more facts... because they don't have any..
So in case you haven't been paying attention, the NYT ran a story that basically said that we are doing cyber ops against Russia leading up to the 2020 election but that they hadn't briefed Trump because our own gov't is afraid he would leak the details to Russia. Okay, so that's pretty bad. So before spending Father's Day golfing with Lindsay Graham (?) and after wishing everyone Happy Father's Day including the haters, he went off on a NYT/WashPo media is the enemy of the people and his supporters want him to stay in office for 5 more terms rant.
Then this very funny guy in my Twitter feed had this response which immediately blew up on Twitter. It gave me a laugh, so here it is:
Quote:
Bookdigger Jim @goodoldcatchy
Seeing as how CNN, Newsweek and the New York Times can’t do any decent reporting on the Trumps, here’s my puff piece on Donnie:
Donald J. Trump is a privileged and mentally deficient petty conman and all-round (bleep) born in 1946. Having inherited a ton of cash but no brains
from his walking psycho’s gun license photo of a father, he spent his formative years punching teachers and diligently fostering a constellation of horrible psychological disorders. In the early 70s Donald (bleep) out of Vietnam with leg rot to become a full-time pervert and
thieving racist slum lord under the tutelage of his mooching dad. In 1977, he made a formal commitment to ruin the life of model Ivana Zelnickoya Winklmayr by marrying her. The couple then ruined the lives of three children by creating them. Around the time these lovebirds were
smashing out a string of pointless clones, Donnie was sniffing around the gambling business. He got land in Atlantic City, promptly built fifty mobbed-up casinos on the same street, and ran them into the ground where they mouldered like dusty golden blocks of cheese, tragic
monuments to the greed and epic stupidity of a morally and financially bankrupt opportunist. In the nineties, DJT was so in hock he had less money than any of the minorities he hated but that didn’t stop him tossing bank loans around like confetti at a series of piss-worthless
business ventures going into the 2010s. These included an airline, a mortgage company, a cosplay university course, a magazine, a board game, and vodka and steak brands, all of which (bleep) the bed faster than a motel drunk on a suicide booze jaunt to Ebola Town. Somewhere along
the (bleep) way, he managed to impregnate one American lady no one remembers and the haunted plastic robot that remains his wife to this day. The resulting offspring have appeared very infrequently, and only in blurry photographs from a distance like the ones of
Bigfoot. In 2016, after years fronting a moistly ego-driven ode to sociopathy called The Apprentice, The Donald was propelled to the White House on a wave of bigotry, Russian propaganda, (bleep) media coverage, apathy, and voter suppression. He has spent every waking moment
since then cheating at golf, tweeting typos on a greasy phone, and struggling with umbrellas while the urine-hued foot-long cotton candy he erroneously refers to as a haircut tries to flee the Chernobyl wildlife autopsy of his vindictively butchered scalp. Meanwhile, he’s
trashed the State Department and EPA while hurling stacks of money at the people who need it the very least. Hate crimes are up, real wages stagnant, and the number of chronically confused dunces braying for a wall about the same as in 2016. Perhaps they will achieve their goal
of creating a vast and oil-filled forced birth pit to roll around in, protected by an ugly circular concrete barrier mounted with cheap machine gun installations and bathed in lung-shredded smog and acid rain. There they will wallow, bellowing hallucinated false claims about
pallets of hostage cash and adrenochrome-harvesting pizza joints with fictional basements, riddled with malignant glyphosate tumours and bragging about an extra dollar in their monthly paychecks. We do not yet know what will become of their mad king Donnie, Prince of Whales, but
experts predict he’ll either nuke us all or throw a blood clot around ’21, leaving behind a brittle and shell-shocked country crawling with emboldened crooks and insane conservative judges.
I tried to remain as unbiased as possible in the writing of this article.

I love when he had Bill Burr on, and he wanted to commiserate with Burr on getting backlash for a joke, but Burr didn't care, and shot down the idea of caring about it.
(CNN)Mayor Pete Buttigieg will no longer travel to California for a series of top dollar fundraisers
on Tuesday and Wednesday, a spokesman for the campaign tells CNN, and instead will stay in
South Bend, Indiana, to handle the fallout from an officer-involved shooting that happened early on Sunday morning.
Buttigieg already canceled multiple events and meetings in New York that were scheduled for Monday
and called a late-night press conference in South Bend to address the shooting, pledging
to work to get to the bottom of what happened.
"We have canceled upcoming campaign events so that Mayor Pete can be with the South Bend community
after the officer-involved shooting," the spokesman said.
Buttigieg was scheduled to headline a string of events in Los Angeles on Tuesday and Wednesday,
including an event hosted by Nicole Avant, a Hollywood bundler who helped raise roughly $800,000
for then-Sen. Barack Obama in 2008, on Tuesday and a top-dollar fundraiser at the home of TV
producer Ryan Murphy and his husband, David Miller, on Wednesday.

Still the right thing to do for Mayor Pete and he might have a 'win-win' situation in an ugly event, looks like no refund but he prob could've raised so much more during these events
(These cancellations won't necessarily impact that count: Buttigieg's events have been sold out for months, meaning the money raised has already been counted by the South Bend mayor's campaign and will be reflected in the second quarter report.)

This administration has more acting positions than I can recall (15). Trump is the government. He can replace any of the acting positions that don't side with him with little or no resistance. I shudder when thinking of how this administration has forged a position that's very close to autocracy as I have seen.
Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen's resignation may have come as a surprise, but it's part of a pattern for the Trump administration. Replacing Cabinet secretaries has become a feature, not a bug, of this White House.

During the protests they also found out that Hong Kong police have special backdoors into the Hospital registries.. they searched for people who were hurt by rubber bullets or tear gas and then came in and arrested them

On June 17, an independent tribunal which has been investigating "forced organ harvesting" from Chinese prisoners, including Falun Gong practitioners and Uighur Muslims, published its final judgment.
The China Tribunal concluded that "forced organ harvesting has been committed for years throughout China on a significant scale, [and] the tribunal has had no evidence that the significant infrastructure associated with China’s transplantation industry has been dismantled and absent a satisfactory explanation as to the source of readily available organs concludes that forced organ harvesting continues till today."
Central to the tribunal's findings were estimates of the actual number of transplants taking place—far higher than official statistics, implausibly short waiting times and first-hand testimony from former detainees. Some of the organ extractions were said to have been conducted on live victims who were killed during their procedures.
In December, the United Nations asked for direct access to the camps after a panel said it had received “credible reports” that 1.1 million Uighurs, Kazakhs, Hui and other ethnic minorities had been detained.

IIRC he did smoke during the show with guest Killer Mike from Run the Jewels, so that's not "before the show". _________________ “Properly read, the bible is the most potent force for atheism ever conceived.”

Warren, the female Democrat who is leading him in the polls, is exactly the opposite of what he claims - and he knows it.
And this is why I have completely turned against Bernie - he's just a bitter lying sack of excrement. Obviously I'd vote for him if he's the candidate in 2020, but it is fortunate that isn't likely to happen. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

Joe Biden ain't doing so good on the internet today either. You can google his comments at a rich fundraiser last night for details. I know I will vote for either of them if they become the candidate, but I am so done with old white male patriarchy. It just drips from both of them in everything they say and the way they treat others, especially women and people of color. It's so ingrained I'm not even sure they know they're doing it half the time. But it's stomach churning. I would enthusiastically vote for almost any of the other candidates, younger white males, middle-age white males, latino/asian males, gay males, white women, black women, black males. But sorry, the old white dudes are out of step with modern culture and modern realities.
