Bottom line: Russia attacked us in 2016 and they won. And they keep winning every day that Trump remains in office. And GOP politicians aided and abetted every step of the way. |
I am still on record.. going again.. saying we were also Hacked by Russia or Israel. I refuse to accept the people of my country voted Trump in legally.

Investigation shows DHS did not hack Georgia computers
https://thehill.com/policy/cybersecurity/339734-investigation-shows-dhs-did-not-hack-georgia-state-computers
Quote: | In December, Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp sent a letter to then-Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson accusing the DHS of 10 cyberattacks of varying sizes around the time of the 2016 presidential election, implying that the alleged attacks were related to the state turning down DHS help to secure election systems. |
Georgia destroyed election data right after a lawsuit alleged its voting system might have been hacked.
Quote: | On July 3, state voters and a good-government group filed a lawsuit alleging that Georgia officials ignored warnings that the state’s electoral system was extremely susceptible to hacking.
On July 4, Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp’s office was alerted about the lawsuit by the press and declined to comment. It received a copy of the suit on July 6.
And on July 7, Georgia officials deleted the state’s election data, which would have likely been critical evidence in that lawsuit, the Associated Press reported Thursday. |

That's Mueller saying in lawyerly language that Congress should impeach Trump because no one should be above the law, including the president. |
Now let's see what gets done about that. |
I don't know what will happen. I think Congress will hold hearings, no matter what they call them.
I've gone back and forth on this, but at this point I think they should start Impeachment hearings. Even if we think Senate won't convict, the way the electoral calendar works out, the end of the trial will coincide with lead-up to 2020 election. If the evidence is there and the GOP Senate won't convict, then the voters will - via the ballot box. Not sure Pelosi wants to go there, but pressure is building from progressives towards impeachment -- because it's the last vestige of maintaining the rule of law. No matter how Trump leaves office, do we want to protect Democracy and the rule of law or not? Republicans won't do it so I think Democrats have to. |
Agreed. |

Report: Israeli hackers offered Cambridge Analytica information on politicians
Quote: | Trump’s campaign hired Cambridge Analytica in June 2016 and paid it more than $6.2 million through last December, according to Federal Election Commission records.
The month after his firm was hired, Nix emailed WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange for help tracking down some 33,000 emails that Clinton supposedly had deleted from her private server, the Daily Beast and The Wall Street Journal reported in October. |
Information below is about a Nigerian election the Israelis hacked emails and were supporting one candidate and asked Cambridge Analytica to use the info against the opponent. in 2015....
2015 eh.. hacking opponents emails..
2016 telling Trump they wanted to help him?
Quote: | This follows allegations by a whistleblower that the British political consultancy firm improperly accessed users’ information to build profiles on American voters that were later used to help elect Trump.
Cambridge Analytica staffers who worked on the 2015 re-election campaign for then-Nigeria president Goodluck Jonathan, told the Guardian that they met with representatives of an Israeli cyber security company in London in early 2015. They were told the meeting was arranged by a senior Cambridge Analytica director, Brittany Kaiser. |

The wording in the report is non conclusive, conclusive. Quote: | The report describes actions and events that the Special Counsel's Office found to be
supp01ted by the evidence collected in our investigation. In some instances, the report points out
the absence of evidence or conflicts in the evidence about a particular fact or event. In other
instances, when substantial, credible evidence enabled the Office to reach a conclusion with
confidence, the report states that the investigation established that certain actions or events
occurred. A statement that the investigation did not establish particular facts does not mean there was no evidence of those facts. |
This unveiling of the report is the tip of the proverbial iceberg. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Even though there's a lot of new things on collusion, there's plenty of things that we already knew about. So the press did a good job over the last couple years. Just wish they had done the same prior to the election.
The "no collusion" mantra is baked with his base, but I think the Democrats can effectively argue that there was a lot of collusion to the people that aren't sure yet, even if not criminal. Schiff provided the blueprint, but there's more information and confirmation now with the Mueller Report. There are plenty of examples of cooperation, lying, and cover up. _________________ ¡Hala Madrid! |

Yes, the report is as bad as many expected, but at least there was a bit of comedy in there.
Quote: | “To prove that a defendant acted ‘knowledgeably and willfully,’ the government would have to show that the defendant had general knowledge his conduct was unlawful,” said the report.
Mueller’s team hypothesized that Trump Jr. could claim that he didn’t believe that his actions broke the law. They suggested the same is true of Kushner. Investigators pointed out that Manafort is experienced in political campaigns, but added that they didn’t have the evidence to show that he actually knew the law. |
Junior and Kushner got away with some things because they are literally too stupid to prosecute. |

That would be nice, but would require, at least, 218 D's in the House and 67 in the Senate, and even then I doubt if the Dems could reach unanimity with such numbers. _________________ "A metronome keeps time by using a Ringo" |

If Trump is so compromised by Russia and Russian business assets
Isn't it illegal and a TOP Level Security Threat to allow him to remain?
Congress/Senate has a Duty to protect us.
His business deal during his campaign is reason enough for impeachment |

I'm not trying to be obstinate here, but if you know of a way that realistically will keep them from embarrassing themselves, to how to avoid knowing them (since many are our relatives), or how to penetrate their impenetrable believe systems, let us know. As for holding them accountable, I do today and will always. I will remind every Republican who wants to throw some petty argument about a Democrat, and counter with . . . YOU elected Donald Trump. _________________ "A metronome keeps time by using a Ringo" |

Adam Schiff's response (video at link):
Quote: | Adam Schiff Verified account @RepAdamSchiff
Regardless of whether the obstructive acts described by Mueller was criminal or whether the litany of illicit contacts with Russia rose to the level of conspiracy, they're dishonest, unethical, and unpatriotic.
Mueller’s report is not a vindication of Trump, but a condemnation.
