Yup. Judges. Electoral College. Gerrymandering.

Asymmetrical race warfare for when America will certainly become more brown majority in 25 years or less.

But if you control those 3 process/institutions, you are still in power.

While de Tocqueville wrote of his fears of democracy and the tyranny of the majority, what we have found is that the tyranny of the minority has used the system to accomplish a government at least as bad as what he feared.

And oh, forgot to mention the big one.

GUNS. Lots of them.

So when minority/liberal governments happen...

So, Republican Rep. Mike Kelly (Pa.), who is white, claims "I'm a person of color."

Silly boy. Though it is nothing to be ashamed of if he were, I'm not sure he would like it if he were truly treated as are such a large number of people of color.

SEND HER BACK! SEND HER BACK!

I have changed my mind about the concentration camps. It's obvious we need to have them. So with that in mind, we need to empty them of the asylum seekers and immigrants to make room for all the people who chant (bleep) like "Send her back!".

Best part is, there's no need to clean them up or make them comfortable. Just start shoving the bigoted (bleep) in there until the camps are busting at the seams.

THAT'S making America great again!

If it makes you feel any better, these women were not some random voters. They are all local GOP political operatives and why CNN keeps doing this is ridiculous.

I did not know that and it makes me feel better on one level, but then I must ask the obvious question, why is CNN doing this, and if nothing else, at least providing full disclosure, but then, why are they doing this at all?

It's one thing when they went after Hillary Clinton with the "lock her up" stuff. She's a grown-up who's been on the world stage 30 years. But Omar is a young woman who fled Somalia as a child and is newly elected to the House. This bullying campaign by Trump and his cult of racist bigots is despicable.

With all that is out there about how offensive the words to the effect of go back to where you come from, are to the various minorities that the words are directed against, anyone shouting those hateful words, is, at the very least, racially insensitive, if not racist.

My daughter and I just recently had a discussion whereby she indicated she believes 50% of this country is racist. I told her that I didn't think it was nearly this number. Hearing these folks, I now wonder just what that number is.

That's what people on Twitter are asking. Why not have a panel of women of color and ask them if they think it was racist? Or a panel of Independent women? It's disgusting.

I revealed the last one as Florida GOP operatives

I think your daughter is definitely in the ball park because there is no difference between being racist and being ok with racism.

So I'd put the percentage of Americans in that group at about 44%. Which is both shocking and disheartening.

The staggering thing is how many Repugnicans are willing to go on TV and refuse to answer the question "If Trump said he was a racist, would you still support him as President?"

I think they are doing it because while these women may be "operatives" they represent vast numbers of people who feel exactly the way they do. I like that CNN puts such people on the air. They inform about what is actually out there.

That's why it doesn't make me feel better. It's the disgusting reality of where we are.

Ilhan Omar is 37, a grown-up. Gets death threats in volume, unsurprisingly. From April:

What a stupid decision.
And yeah, why not identify those republican operative women as such? It's not that hard to find everyday republican women anywhere.

Hopefully recent events are a wake up call for Dems who believed bipartisanship could return when Trump's out of office. Trump opened pandora's box when he won in 2016. There is no closing it and pretending it never happened. The political climate has forever changed. Pack the Supreme Court when we get back control, remove the filibuster in the Senate, remove the electoral college as well. It's the only path forward if people want to fix the devastation.

Fighting the GOP with pre-Trump rules and standards is bringing a spork to a gun fight.

As the son of (brown) immigrants, I've often remarked since 2017ish that I honestly don't even feel comfortable going to predominately white states anymore. Not since the Indian guy was shot and killed in Kansas for being Iranian. There's just too much melanin in my skin.
