Anyone ever see this nut on CNN or Fox???

Stephen Moore Is the Wrong Person for the Fed Board
A partisan operative has no business making policy at an independent central bank.

Quote:
President Donald Trump has said that he plans to nominate Stephen Moore, a writer and policy analyst, for a position on the Federal Reserve Board. This isn't a good choice. Moore’s appointment demonstrates Trump’s increasing politicization of key government functions, and the valuation of loyalty and ideology over expertise and judgment.

Moore has been a think tank researcher and pundit for most of his career, having worked at the conservative Heritage Foundation and the libertarian Cato Institute.
Moore has made a career of what law professor James Kwak calls “economism” -- a mix of simplistic economic models, convenient assumptions and rhetoric designed to make it appear as if economics provides scientific support for conservative policy priorities. There are many examples where wishful thinking appears to have distorted his assessments of economic conditions.

Quote:
In 2017, he left Fox News Channel to join CNN as a contributor.[6] He also advised the Trump administration during the 2017 tax policy rewrite, along with Larry Kudlow.

In March of 2019, it was announced that Moore would be nominated to serve at the Federal Reserve as a governor, by President Donald Trump

Trump administration back to trying to take healthcare away from tens of millions of Americans. They just lost the 2018 mid-terms on this issue. They think they've had a political win this week so not only are they spiking the football, the want to rub everyone's noses in it. So they go back to doing what they do best -- acting out their deep seated cruelty and contempt for anyone who isn't a rich patron by trying to hurt them:

This is actually a gift to every Democrat running in 2020. Run on healthcare, just like 2018. You don't enough have to say the name Trump.

This is how you know Trump is a Russian asset -- he always picks the best person guaranteed to sabotage and destroy the American institution they are in charge of.

To see Graham and McConnell acting as they are leads me to believe this is all the only ploy they had to campaign in 2020.

They get to trot out the trusty old "democrats are evil" that worked so well against Hillary/Obama/Gore. Which would probably bring the Trump voters from 2016 back.

Where they'll struggle is keeping people at home, unless the democrat candidate is abhorrent.

Although, I've talked to people who didn't vote or voted for someone other than Hillary, and they say they will vote for whichever Democrat just to get Trump out.

If he wins re-election it would be by even thinner margins, which is even harder to imagine than him winning in the first place was.

ANALYSIS, GOP, MUELLER, RUSSIA
Evidence Shows Lindsey Graham Received Illegal Campaign Contributions From Russia
This will be devastating to the Republican Party.

Quote:
An investigation has been ongoing into Republican Senate Judiciary Chair Lindsey Graham’s connections to Russia by a number of transparency groups, including money he has used in his political campaigns that would amount to possible felony campaign finance violations.

How Putin's oligarchs funneled millions into GOP campaigns

Editor's note May 8, 2018: This column originally published December 15, 2017. New allegations about $500k in payments from a Russian oligarch made to Trump attorney Michael Cohen have placed it back in the news.

Quote:
Buried in the campaign finance reports available to the public are some troubling connections between a group of wealthy donors with ties to Russia and their political contributions to President Donald Trump and a number of top Republican leaders. And thanks to changes in campaign finance laws, the political contributions are legal. We have allowed our campaign finance laws to become a strategic threat to our country.

Adam Schiff Reveals More Indictments Are On The Way Despite The End Of Mueller Probe
He has yet to be wrong about literally anything in the Russia probe.

Quote:
What Mueller is reporting, as best we can tell, are his conclusions on the criminal side of the house, who should be indicted and who shouldn’t be indicted, and why he reached those conclusions. [What] it means is that the office of the special counsel, which is essentially a contract attorney to the Justice Department, that that office won’t be bringing any further indictments. It doesn’t mean, of course, that main [Department of] Justice or the Southern District of New York and the Eastern District or others may not bring indictments. In fact, given the lengthy redactions in many of the pleadings of the special counsel eluding to other investigations, I think it’s entirely possible if not likely that there will be other indictments.

". . . Entirely possible if not likely" is very different than "are coming". The Dems need to be learn from how the Mueller probe played out be careful about this kind of overstating things and making bold predictions.

The best course of action at this point is to stop using threats of indictments etc. as a political tool. It's not going to work out well. That's not to say they should not pursue such indictments, just stop using the media for speculation and over-promising on where they are leading. Just be quiet about them until they have something to present and let events speak for themselves. Meanwhile, focus on actual policy and productive actions that can lead to a solid and wide-reaching platform about improving the nation rather than chasing down bad guys.

I would hope that is becoming obvious to the Dem leaders, if not, we are doomed in 2020.

I have to agree here, though I would say the Democrats (and never Trump Republicans) are a lot more right on this than have been the Republicans: the investigation was a lot more than just a witch hunt. All the people (especially Manafort and Stone who probably have the goods) who were willing to risk going (and have and will go) to jail for this did not do so because they value the lifestyle change.

Except you can't let Barr, the chosen one, hide and destroy the report. He is an extreme partisan from way back and his take cannot be accepted as fact.

That in no way affects what the House can and will do. They will almost certainly subpoena it, and though there will be a court battle, they must not give up until the courts decide. I would also continually ask Trump, since he says he wants it released, to pressure his minion to release it.

The stuff he has said and done is just to obvious and out there in the public view for all to see. You can't hide from Trump the horrible president. he's everywhere. he's on every channel, he's all up in your tweets. he might be in your DM's. lol. you can't say you didnt know because you were working a double shift. he's every where. He will lose and he will lose badly no matter how many racist come out of the woodwork to vote again in 2020. this is not the same scenario as last time where it is true Hil had to deal with the DNC hack(shame on the DNC emails to boot), russian bots, etc. and a bunch of stay at home people.

the russian bots are hear to stay but social media is actually cleansing itself of them. So that wont work as well and it wont work as well because we know they are bots now. that was not the case back then for most people who didnt know. There will be no email scandal to break then re-break again at the 11th hour, there will be no shady hack to make anyone stay home.

That’s what most Americans want to hear I think, and, would make any further attempts by the other side reflect more poorly on them. Few people appreciate punching down.

But will they take advantage of the opportunity? Doesn’t seem so. Further down the spiral we go. *sigh*

Trump and the GOP can’t be the ‘bigger person’ when they’ve been the ones causing the hatred. Not enough even if he apologized with words, has to actually perform actions

Won’t get into that circular debate of who started the hate cycle, and never expected the GOP or Trump to do any of what I think they should do.

Was merely saying that strategically, that would be the right move here IMO, and is usually the right move on situations like this on either side.

There is no debate about it. The guy who started it is actually proud that he did.

Agreed. But after how it all trend out, it's time to undersell and over deliver.

The "The Indictments are Coming! The Indictments are Coming!" approach needs to be put away in favor of quietly focusing on making charges stick while being vocal about policy and programs to return things to normal.

Everyone is free to make their own decisions, but just as the relentless urge to lie about every contact with Russians and what was discussed, as well as large, overt moves to stop the investigation tell me they were hiding something, the incongruous “findings” by Mueller, the lack of a single complete sentence of his in the “summary”, and the move by Republicans to block the release of the report tell me that they are still hiding something. And people don’t work this hard to hide exoneration.

Agreed. Which is why you quietly keep turning the screws while outwardly projecting moving on to policy issues.

It's not enough for Republicans to try to take away healthcare from 30,000,000 million Americans and kill pre-existing condition protections for every single American (that means *you too* our Republican and Conservative friends who browse this thread), now they want to inflict their "Christian" version of Sharia Law on the rest of poor and already suffering women of the world:

Nancy Pelosi Verified account @SpeakerPelosi

There is no end to the depths of the Trump Administration’s cruelty. Millions of women around the world rely on U.S.-funded health assistance – and millions more will be arbitrarily left without care due to this shameful decision by @SecPompeo.

Trump has done already and keeps doing

He might be a dimwit (bleep) but he is industrious
