Fine. It's my opinion

Pretty early to write them all off.

This is Ingram's 3rd year in the league. At what point do we acknowledge that he's just not going to be that good?

In 3 more years they’ll say hes just 24 dude, wait 3 more years.

Who would say that?

The only people better than Ingram from that draft are: Siakam and Jammal Murray, both who no one would have picked at #2.

Brown is a much more inferior player than Ingram

I'm assuming you mean after Simmons?

Others IMO that are in the same level as BI:

Hield (I wouldn't have taken him #2 but showing out to be a decent scorer)
Murray
Sabonis (no way at #2, and he's much older, but is a playoff rotation player)
LeVert
Siakim

As I prefaced, some of these guys were a lot older and probably have a higher floor but lower ceiling than BI.

But at the time of the draft, BI was the consensus #2 pick so we can't be revisionists in that respect.

Hield is clearly better than Ingram right now. Obviously Ingram has youth on his side. But I think Hield would be a far better fit with LeBron. Maybe if we had had LeBron at the time he would've been the pick.

Hield is a total liability on defense, though.

Y'all some of those same folks that will be pissed after these "fit" trades that will be pissed when we still don't win a championship with LeBron but then need to go another five years in the dumpster.

It's also a drastic comedy to go back and read the first 30+ or so pages to the last to see how wishy washy some people are. There are no guarantees with a old LeBron who at the moment doesn't seem to be a free agent magnet. I'll 100% concede to a win now move If we get a max FA, and won't need to bash a developing kid to justify the move. All this is his third year BS doesn't apply to every player. I also wish some would GTF off your pedestal with tht analytics that most of you couldn't explain if your life depended on it.

Ingram has worked to achieve his dream of making the league and shouldn't have to base his growth on what type of player he expects to be around LeBron's farewell tour. Obviously LeBron trumps him as far as importance but no need to constantly disrespect him as if he has no value on this team OR continually put our young players against each other to justify who each of you feel should stay. That hate should be saved for other teams.

Lol. Only the all time greats played like great at this age. Most HOF has to learned the ropes too. Have to remind you too that BI was a late bloomer. The fact that he’s producing like a good player at this stage and people believed he is underachieving should tell you something.

You've been here since 2014. So you went through the Jules/DLO/JC/Nance wars so you should be a vet of Lakers fans being tough on the young kids.

I've been very critical of Ingram's game (his style, not production), but to say that he's not that good? Since when is the ceiling at 3 years? He's only played what, 20 games this year?

Yep. I wanna give a kid at least 220 total games played before saying someone is good or not. Of course with noticeable improvement in aspects of their game within that time.

You're saying something positive about Ingram?! Who logged into 32's account? Identity theft isn't funny!
Ohhh, wait. You're glad he's back because then he can be better trade bait, huh. I get it.

He deserves better than this fan base.

Imagine playing for a fan base that suggest starting Josh Hart over you.

It’s honestly the same people who are trying to convince the masses that Lonzo is a transcendent advanced stats genius, he’s extremely invisible on the court when his 3pt shot is not falling.

I feel that at some point if you’re looking at net rating for lineups and concluding that Josh Hart should start over Ingram, there’s a clear divide between how you think front offices view advanced stats and how they actually view advanced stats.

Ingram is clearly underperforming but his ball handling, ability to get shots off from himself, slow the pace down, use his length on defense has a clear impact on the team. That doesn’t mean (bleep) the advanced stats and that Ingram is better then he actually is, but it goes deeper then your (bleep) Net rating being shoved down our throats after every 25 minutes.
