Agreed. Zo's mental toughness on the other hand...

Could be a problem for Brandon.. Freethrows and 3s...

Or could be a career changer. Teach him to stop passing up open 3s for contested midrange jumpers. He’s already a very good finisher. I’m more excited about Vogel getting him to buy in on the defensive end though. Hopefully he plays for the team and not a contract this year.

Good point, another concern of mine.

I mean it's a valid point. He tends to play for himself on the offensive end whether it's intentionally or not that's just his style. BGH made a valid point, Brandon could get too iso crazy in hopes of garnering a big contract, which will negatively affect the rest of the team.

I worry too much and you don't worry about anything at all. 2 different people I guess. Can't say one or the other is right or wrong. I'm a Capricorn that overthinks things and tends to expect the worst, I can own up to that.

Well hello my fellow goat. Maybe that's why we tend to disagree or bump hesds. Idk. Cap traits can vary as well depending on age and other things that I don't really dive too heavily into

I guess our exchanges make sense now.. a bunch of know it alls, going at it on matters that can't definitively be determined right or wrong.

I'm a stubborn Taurean, which is why I'm going to keep bringing up Garland's height until he is officially measured again.

I wonder if Vogel wanting to discourage midrange jumpers will change Brandon's game?

No, but it may get him traded.

Lakersground...

Please listen to me... I have a sober scientific approach to the game.

Also Lakersground...

He's a Leo and the moon is in the seventh house so we should trade him.

Yikes.

Getting this back on topic, I like Brandon’s midrange in a couple situations. At the end of games in crunch time and (hopefully soon) in the playoffs. There are times when just getting a good look at a shot is much more important than anything else. Like yesterday, Curry was so focused on avoiding the midrange that he took four steps to try to get behind the three line and turned it over late in that game.

Where BI had the issues last year was when he was so focused on trying to score that he ended up taking tough, forced midrange shots vs making the right pass to a more open teammate. Once he decided to either attack the rim/draw FTs or pass, then he could pick and choose on those midrange looks and was killing teams. I think Vogel will be fine if he plays that way.

That is a great example of false equivalency. Curry’s approach to the game is part of why he’s so successful. Wanting to get behind the 3 point line for an extra point is the right play, just poor execution.

Curious if anyone else is seeing a potential similarity between Siakam's improvement and role with Toronto as a model for Ingram?

Solid defender, more of a complimentary player with upside, poor shooter that improved every year. Became a "most improved" candidate.

Considering Ingram is still 3 years younger and continues to work and improve... I like the comparison. Still inexperienced and needs to be more consistent but his strengths outweigh his weaknesses IMO.

Find it maddening with all the "trade him" discussions.
