LeBron
Rondo
Lonzo
Hart
Ingram
Kuzma
Kcp

Those are the only guys that should play unless injuries occur

After that 1st half, I was hoping Luke would make the move to play Svi and/or Wear to get some shooting going. Especially with how erratic Lance was playing.

But nope, he just plays Lance more. Freaking predictable.

He played 16.
The other option was either play BI more who was hot and cold or try Svi?

Ingram can play more than 28 minutes. He gave us 2 blocks and 2 steals in those 28 min. His offense was shaky, sure, but so was Lance's.

I'd rather Ingram play 32-33 and also give Hart more of his minutes.

I'd prefer 0 mpg for Lance but I'd settle for 5

9 man rotation at the start of the season? Geez.
That's like the Mike D'antonio school of thinking.

We don't have another center, I blame Magic for that.

Wrong. The other option was to play KCP and Hart more minutes each.

I'd love to know his thought process for that. That's starting Luol Deng in the season opener-level bad.

Seriously! Luke thinks it's a NJB team and every kid has to play. Ingram should be getting 33-35 MPG and Hart should get 30 MPG

Anyone is likely better than Lance. He is erratic on O and his mentality hurts the flow of the offense and makes other players take bad shots.

He is equally erratic on D. He doesn’t rotate. Fake hustles which puts the entire team D in rotation mode and then spaces out.

There was a reason he was -15 in 16 minutes tonight.

His constant misuse of Lonzo and his rotations of starting lesser players over better players like the Randles in the past to now Hart.

It’s mind blowing dumb.

Kuz isn’t a center.

To me, Beasley is more of a stretch 5 than Kuz.

Luke pretty much went with a 9 man rotation today.
I guess he should have gone with an 8 man rotation in game 1 of the year.
You're so right.

Not just me, everyone in this thread agrees with not playing Lance. I'd rather Svi get 6 of those minutes and spread the other 10 to KCP, Hart, and BI.

The defense was bad, but listening to these post-game interviews, I really, really hope that's not all Luke is telling these guys. If he thinks they can win playing better defense but still shooting like (bleep), he's not as smart as I thought he was. Did his experience with the Dubs teach him nothing about modern NBA offensive efficiency?

Luke hasn't gave us a competent halfcourt offense in 3 years and isn't good at talent eval/rotations. he's a mediocre coach...which makes sense since he's only been coaching for 5 years

Beasley should never play besides garbage time. And Lance shouldn’t play 16 minutes either.

Svi and Wear could have shared those 18 minutes that Lance and Beasley got in total.

So are people's complaints about Luke that he played Lonzo w/ Beasley + Lance and that Kuzma is playing too much 5? Not starting Lonzo?

This is the roster that he was given... our backup center rotation is non-existent though I would say Zu should get mins. Lance was a guy signed to be the backup 3.

Anyway, he's a mins split that's worth considering even if it doesn't involve Lance and Beasley:

McGee (22) | Zubac (18) | LeBron (4) | Kuzma (4)
LeBron (20) | Kuzma (28)
Ingram (34) | LeBron (8) | KCP (6)
J Hart (30) | KCP (14) | Lonzo (4)
Lonzo (26) Rondo (22)

Lance shouldn’t be allowed to even enter the arena. Let’s hope luke realizes this.

I’m not sure what adjustments like can make at the backup C. That’s going to be a big challenge for him

Why’d he sit BI for so long after he did pretty good in the 3rd?

Did Wear make the team? I'd rather have him be backup C than Kuz.

Yes he’s on the team.

He would have been a good player to try out for this game with the way our shooting was going in the first half.

Luke's rotations are like he's playing yahtzee. WTF is he doing? People were saying he's experimenting in pre-season.... well I don't think he's experimenting, he just doesn't know what he's doing.
