Something just seemed off with the team today (except for Kobe of course, but I don't think he practices)

It didn't work. He hit the first one. Doing hack a Howard (or anyone, really) doesn't work because they only have to hit one of two to make it ineffective since they're scoring at essentially a 50 percent clip, and the ft shooter has a good chance of getting into a rhythm. Plus it makes for unwatchable basketball.

Well yes, but it make one, miss one also let's a team get up a point assuming they can score on the other end. That said, I do agree with you. It's a cowardly strategy and kills the game for the viewers.

Teams don't score on every possession though. Getting a point per possession (which is what 50 percent ft shooting on a hack a Howard strategy would yield) is actually pretty good. So it's ridiculous to count on your offense being able to out score the essentially 50 percent shooting you're conceding to the other team on a consistent basis.

right...Kobe quickly realized he was a little too big to pick up like that...he has daughters, not sure he realized he was emasculating the young fella

Worse game of the year for Russell. Just didn't show up tonight. Rockets sent hard hedges at Clarkson every time, forced the Lakers bigs to beat them.

Who the bleep cares. Kobe is retiring, reggies is obviously just paying respect and stating the obvious. You think this same squad minus Kobe is gonna do bleep next year lol

I care because I'm actually a Lakers fan. It's clear you're just a Kobe fan which is fine, but Reggie was saying the young kids will be made better by seeing Kobe chuck a ridiculous amount of shots which is asinine. How does that make them better? They need to be involved in the game plan. Sure they can be better next season why not? The issue isn't talent with this team. This was another winnable game lost by Scott's moronic rotations. Playing Sacre as much as Randle is just terrible no other way around it. Kid put up 18 and 10. He needs to be starting. Nance Jr. has no business starting.
