Don't know the area either, (and you probably know this) but I'd check Yelp, do a search for La Jolla Seafood, sort by highest reviews, read some reviews (including the negative ones) look at the posted food photos and see if anything looks good...
It's probably more helpful than us slobs...lol _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.” |

Yeah, I do know about Yelp.
Too much variation to be really useful, and most reviews are an exercise in hasty generalization. If I Yelp stuff that I'm VERY familiar with, neither does it list places in the order I'd list them, nor do I agree with most reviews. Yelp is good for when you need suggestions on short notice, but that's about it. |

Not familiar with La Jolla either but Eater is usually a good reference to start

If you don’t mind a little drive, Baci on Morena blvd. is an old favorite of mine. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel |

Anyone have any good restaurant recommendations not too far off from Burbank? Flying in Saturday morning to take a special lady friend out to dinner that night, and of course she is being of no help and leaving it up to me which I’m terrible at 😂. She likes to get dressed up, so something that’ll fit that sort of scene but not over the top. Anything goes: sushi, ramen, steak, American. |

There's this awesome little italian place off of verdugo that I've gone to for years it's called cancel your flight and stay home because what are you doing? They have amazing service there.
Enjoy! _________________ http://chickhearn.ytmnd.com/
