With all the reports of being in the market for Aldridge & Love I was wondering how Julius would do at small forward. _________________ "You gotta take it like a fan"

He could pair well with a number of different types of forwards, regardless of position labels. I think we'll see him do his best work when on floor with another combo forward, someone who can also play a bit from the wing or interior.
In this draft, perhaps someone like Justin Anderson, Anthony Brown or Kevon Looney will be available. |

Justin Anderson would be perfect next to Julius, Clarkson, and Towns |

No. This isn't 1985 basketball anymore. Who will he defend? How is he going to space the floor? |

No. Even if you have anyone skilled enough to play a smaller position, than it's a bigger advantage to have them play the bigger position. Plus, defensively you rely on the SF bump roll men and close out on shooters. Don't think Randle is the type who's able to completely shift momentum like that. |

I agree 100% and I think that Mitch has considered this as well with his recent comments. I think that Tobias harris is a great fit next to randle with a 3&D guys coming off the bench behind him.
I would be stoked if we could land harris
Russell
Clarkson
Harris
Randle
That's a very versatile team offensively and defensively because we could do a whole lot of switching defensively. We could also create mismatches all over the court. |

Depending on situation and match up, of course. |

I reckon Randle is a modern center to the same extent he's a modern big wing (a three): likely to be only occasionally effective in the role and against only specific match-ups. |

Well, a dozen-plus games and fourteen months into his career and I reckon Randle has quelled those who wondered about his being useful as a big wing.
He can't guard them, he can't shoot with most of them, and he's a better four against most teams so far. He's a high potential player for this team, but he doesn't look like a wing except in full-on transition basketball. His jump shot needs some serious attention if wing duty is in his future. _________________ “These GOAT discussions are fun distractions while sitting around waiting for the pizza to be served.”

No.
Corliss Williamson would disappear in the modern NBA. That's what he would look like as a SF. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

No chance as a 3.
Could you imagine him trying to defend a Paul George. _________________ #11/08/16 America became GREAT again
