No basketball or school, so I decided to finally watch this show after years of trying to find some time. I remember a few years back people on LG talking about it. I must say it was one of the few things I have ever watched that made me think about it days after watching. I'm sad that I finished it all

Best written, directed, and acted show i've ever seen. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel

I just finished season 3, which was my favorite so far. I usually hear from most people that season 5 was disappointing, so I'll see. _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service
Season 3 was great because of that tension between Stringer and Avon and it's breaking point, but I think I enjoyed 1 a little more. It was the introduction to everything, the towers, D'Angelo's character, Wallace, Omar, etc.
Season 5 wasn't bad, compared to the rest of television it was great, it just couldn't compete with the other seasons. Season 5 had a lot of closure to it and the final episode was great. It was only 10 episodes so it may have seemed rushed.
Season rankings for me
1, 3, 4, 2, 5
Two was a complete different theme than 1 so it may seem boring to a few people at first, but it picks up and really lays the groundwork for the rest of the show. Just never got the point of Ziggy's character

My favorite was season 3. Since season 1 I was rooting for *spoiler* to get killed and he finally got it at the end of the season.
At first I hated season 4 because of how little McNulty was in it but after viewing it a second time, it was more apparent that those kids put on better performances than most A-list actors.

Then comes 5, 2, 1.
I loved *spoiler* Such a unique character. Just business, just business.

I just recently did the same thing....went season by season, all 5 seasons in about six weeks total (yes, I have no life!) and just finished a few days ago.
If there has ever been a better TV show made, I haven't seen it. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny

Where do you guys get those hats with the bills over the ears like that? I got into all the city stores and the only ones I could find are the ones with the bills in the front.

A subtle but powerful scene in the show: When Bunny Colvin took the 3 f-up class students to Ruth's Chris and the culture shock stole their excitement and their appetites. _________________ http://chickhearn.ytmnd.com/
