Tears for Chester.

Chester was one hell of an awesome singer. Too bad their music sucked after their second album. Really liked In the End and A Place For My Head.

Love this song. One of my all time favorites. The record label wouldn't let Jonathan Davis release it w his voice so he got Chester who knocked it out of the park.

This might just be the most moving song I've ever heard

Malaika - The Kenyan Boys Choir

listened to this, thought it was stunning

then I found found the lyrical translation...close to tears at this point

then read the top youtube comment:

Played this at my wife's funeral 4 weeks ago. So beautiful, just as she was.

no tears, but damn I can feel it. Two of my favorites, Pink and Chris Stapleton.....still not sure Pink gets the credit deserved for her voice. I think most people still think of her singing Top 40 type music that gets radio play, but she is much more.

Saw the topic and immediately thought:
"Freedom"/The Execution of Bannockburn

EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

While it's more influenced by the scene it accompanies it's so ingrained into my head now that music is like a trigger every time.

They performed together on the CMAs. I too am a big fan of Pink.

me and her mother was talking a few months ago that she does not strike us as a young woman that will seek marriage early in life so hopefully I will not have to deal with that for a long while.....but all it takes is one punk ass boy to come along and change everything

we have talked in this thread about how special Chris Stapleton's voice and range is which makes his music so emotional. If you ever want evidence of this just type in "reaction to Tennessee Whiskey" into the YouTube search box, and get a listing of 100's (at least) people claiming to be hearing and reacting for the first time.....White, Black, Asian, etc.....Metal heads, Rap, Rock and R&B fans that have little to no interest in Country often visibly taken by Stapleton.

just the first group that came up....they were not ready for his range

the guy may seriously be the straight up GOAT....

Oh, I got one Led Zeppelin - Houses of the Holy! The entire album brought me to tears. It was such a huge disappointment and a total let down!

I was a kid and Led Zep 1, 2, & 3 had these loud blues-y rock songs, then came Led Zep "4" with Stairway to Heaven" (one of the greatest 70's rock songs). The entire music world was waiting to see how they could top that and

Then after nearly 1-1/2 years of waiting they released Houses of the Holy, with some lame nekkid kid on the cover, the songs were soft, slow and whimpy, sappy, no wild guitar solos, lotta mellotron and Plants craning voice, I could not get rid of it fast enough and never bought anything from them to this day...

during the recording of "We Are the World", the legendary choir broke out into singing Harry Belafonte's Banana Boat song because they'd been recording all night into the early morning

it even managed to make Bob Dylan smile for a couple of seconds

Ray Charles on his feet and jumping around after four hours of work, smiling next to Stevie Wonder who is laughing with Smokey Robinson smiling at Dan Aykroyd laughing with Cyndi Lauper and Steve Perry as Harry marvels at these titans all singing his song...hnnng
