having one of the worst injury plagued season in nba history and still able to get to 27 wins is quite astonishing. the lakers lost twice to the bucks and lost to the sixers at staples, both teams worst than the lakers. |

Lakers won 11 of those games before injuries occurred. They're a 500 ballclub without the injuries. They ended in the bottom of the WC and in defense. I don't see the overachievement at all. |
