Looks like we're locked in at 6. We're too far ahead of the teams behind us to fall any lower and the Celtics and Jazz have zero chance of winning on Wednesday because they're on another level of awfulness, so we're not catching them.

After months of being on "Team Tank" and feeling that winning games this season is detrimental to our team's long term future, I'll be rooting hard for this team to win on Wednesday, as foreign as that may sound after the events of this season. This season has been god awful, but at least it's finally over. Hopefully this team can end it on a positive note, as meager or "meaningless" as it may be.

GO LAKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THE HAY IS IN THE BARN:

It would be really nice to beat the Spurs and close -out on a winning note after such a frustrating season.
However after our last performance I'm sure we'll fall flat on our rear-ends (that's our MO).

GO LAKERS GO!!

So can I cheer for a Lakers win (without consequence)?

I'm guessing, Laker fans get there wish and the Lakers somehow in loyal fashion cut MDA loose once the season comes to a close, we have no need for MDA once this whole thing becomes settled, we need to get a coach who can develop our draft pick and let players play there roles.

Popovich shouldn't even bother playing his regular rotation. He can call up their entire D-League affiliate for this game and he'd still win handily over D'Antoni.

Thankfully this crappy season will mercifully be over.

Tie for 5th is still obtainable but unlikely unless Boston pulls off a win

Does the game really start at 5ET? That's an early start.

Even though it looks bleak, I never get tired of seeing the Lakers beat the Spurs. Here's hoping our boys can get a win in a game that doesn't matter much. It would make me feel better.

Right!! And you too DB, those blow outs must not have been fun to write. I am sure you cringed every time you wrote the opponent scoring over 130 points!!!!!

The happiest news is the end of this season.

It's pretty amazing really. Jim Buss, in his first year as owner/decider/basketball genius....without his dad, pulls off the worst Laker season in their 54 years in Los Angeles.

The time listed at the top of this thread is a mistake. The game starts at 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time.

Central time in San Antonio will be 7:00 PM. Looking at my ticket right now. I'll be there.
