The rumored NBA draft proposed change to a wheel system definitely sounded intriguing and might stop all this tanking stuff.

Some thing needs to be done, because what the Cavs did tonight was horrible.

The new commish should come down on the Cavs.

Caught up. Lol, what a game. Never seen that before, ever. Cavs with the obvious tank, keeping Irving out, and I thought we were going to lose by forfeit. Has that ever happened before?

DEPLETED LAKERS BEAT CAVALIERS 119-108
CLEVELAND (AP) The depleted Los Angeles Lakers had to keep Robert Sacre on the court after he fouled out in the fourth quarter of a 119-108 victory at the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night.

Rookie Ryan Kelly scored a career-high 26 points and Steve Blake had his first career triple-double for Los Angeles, which snapped a seven-game losing streak. The Lakers went 18 for 37 from 3-point range.

And of course the NBA staff writer intentionally omits the fact that Cleveland's only All Star sat on the bench during the fourth quarter in what was a blatant tank job.

The Cavs played best when Kyrie wasnt playing. He was a non factor. It's always an interesting dilemma when your stars are struggling and the no name guys lead the team back. If mike brown brought Kyrie back in, people would have slammed him for taking out the guys who were hot.

So what would've happened if Sacre got injured on that play instead of getting a 6th foul? Do they go to the IR players which is why Nash got in uniform? And if so, what if all the players in reserve were legitimately injured as well? It's certainly a strange scenario. Maybe this was explained on the broadcast, but I wasn't watching.

Had this in another thread, but it should be weighted like the comment on the grantland wheel plan story, but not as extreme, something like...

Teams 1-4: No chance
5-8: 1 ball
9-12: 2 balls
13-16: 3 balls
17-20: 5 balls
21-24: 5 balls
25-28: 5 balls
29-30: 4 balls
0 4 8 12 20 20 20 16 = 100 balls
It doesn't have to add up to 100, maybe make teams 17-20 get 6 balls. so.

Cav's GM Grant just got the ax. More to follow?

Nice that the Lakers were the harbingers of destruction. Serves them right.
