I strain to imagine what you think this roster is capable of, be it wins or on the trade market. What do you think 15 million worth of 1-year rentals should be doing?

Is that really an excuse to lose to a team that had a 1-13 record on the road? so by you're view... the Lakers should lose to a Junior Valley Basketball team because most of the players have 1-year deals.

Perhaps MCW was out with his injury for several of those road losses and that distorted the Philly road record some.

Carter Williams, Young, Turner, and Hawes would all start for the Lakers right now.

with the lakers so undermanned, do you guys seriously think the lakers are that good to win games?

no kobe, nash, blake, gasol, and henry for most of the game....

every game the lakers play home or away the underdogs will be the lakers.

the lakers just don't have the firepower and talent to win against even the worst nba teams whom are more healthy than the lakers.

All these scrubs are likely off the team next year, I hope they keep playing this bad so we can finally get a top pick and start becoming relevant again.

The Sixers have a bad record, but they're not a JV team. They have many talented players that would all start on this current Laker roster.

Considering the Lakers are missing their four highest-paid players (Kobe, Pau, Nash, and Blake take up the entire salary cap by themselves). You think this current rotation, which combined makes half of Kobe's salary, should be playing at a much higher level. And if they can't do that, then a "shake-up" is in order.

This is where the "1-year rentals" part comes in. I don't know what you think a bunch of players on expiring deals can net you other than a grossly overpaid player like Carlos Boozer.
