We have the talent to be a good team, but we don't have a good coach to lead this team.

We have a roster full of 1 year players no one else wanted.....we ARE NOT a good team. 10-9 before Kobe is nice since we expected worse, but still not the record of a good team. We have the 6-2 run but that was with Blake/Farmer playing out of their mind for a few weeks. Maybe with them back we'll be better, but this team won't be good without a move. And whatever happens tonight is irrelevant to whether we make that move or not.

The team just needs to find consistency, and I don't think that will happen until we trade our only valuable trade piece..

btw; welcome to the board

Seriously which coach is going to have enough impact to turn this team around? The coach is an easy scapegoat but is hardly ever the truth. PLAYERS make the biggest impact, you don't see

BREAKING NEWS: LAKERS HIRE NEW COACH.

You see

BREAKING NEWS: LAKERS TRADE FOR "X" AND "Y" IMPACT PLAYERS.

A coach hardly makes enough of a difference to turn a crappy roster into a winning roster. This team is a bunch of journeymen, who play like crap on the road, and defer to Kobe now 100% of the time. We are back to Kobe ISO post ups with 4 people standing around and watching. I was sick to my stomach watching the Lakers waste 14 seconds on the shot clock to force it to Kobe on the wing. Ball movement died when Kobe came back, and so did the defense with his laziness. Lakers need impact players, and the right coach will be found after.

Looks like merges are based on time of post, but you'll get credit for starting the game thread -- someone let diando know so he can put your name up in the scoring summary.

I don't care about credit, I just think a 'game thread' without a summary of the game information is weird.

Only this FO thinks it's fine to have no active PGs on the team even though it's proven to be a disaster the last few games. Yet you guys continuously overrate that scrub GM Mitch Kupchak.

The 3 ball has not been falling (28% over the last 4 games). This coincides with the disappearance of Jodie Meeks (MIA for past 3 games).

Yes, seems he's still recovering.

Pau, Marc, and I think Adria (?) had lunch earlier, someone took a pic.

Close, but no cigar. Adria is playing for a team in Spain currently.

1. Losing today wouldn't be one of the worst loses in franchise history. We've lost on the road (or even at home) to teams with stars injured even in our championship years . Chill with that.

For 1, our record was very good during our championship years, which is why we could have accepted loses to inferior teams, this team is in no position to lose to teams that are inferior.... but then again.... MDA is our coach... so we all know he will somehow make the team lose today.

The team is losing because other teams have better players.

I disagree. Every team we have played had better players than ours (first 19 games), yet we came away with some very good victories because we were playing a different brand of basketball then. Right now, we are a mess. The PGs being injured has hurt us verily badly. Kobe coming back and having the team adjust to him as opposed to the other way around has hurt us even worst.

You're right, thanks for the clarification. Thought he was still at UCLA, but I see that he has signed on with Santfeliuenc. Hope he will find his way back here before long.
