Have you heard the hype yet. I saw he was a projected top-5 pick for next year places, now I see him on 2014 Mock drafts. NBAdraft.net has him at #5, ESPN at #10.

Do you know Zach LaVine? Because the hype machine is about to BLOW UP.

He has some crazy hops and a sick J. I think he is a more athletic Klay Thompson. Would be a nice player to add.

Exum scored 21 points with 15 assists and 6 rebounds during the Austrailian Grand Championships.

Oooh, not impressed with Exum in that video. He only showed the ability to get to the basket once or twice and didn't finish. Good vision. But i'm not seeing anything special. Especially against what appeared to be lesser competition than what we're seeing in the NCAA. There wasn't an athlete to be found.

The competition is WEAK there.

But, FIBA U-19 USA championships? No.

Watched Lavine play a few times at UCLA. Super athletic, and a nice shot for a freshman. Usually guys with his athletic ability can't shoot because they rely on their athleticism instead of working on a shot. Needs to put on muscle and still plays out of controls. He doesn't man the point at ucla currently but projects as an nba point guard so seeing him play some pick n roll would be helpful. Defensively has the tools to be good but ultimately comes to effort on that side of the ball to be great. I can see where the westbrook comparisons come in but we. Really haven't seen him play point yet. All this being said as a ucla alum I hope he stays in school another year.

I just watched the UCLA/Duke game. Alford's son made some impact plays, but LaVine barely got touches. He's not expected to play PG with the Alford sons on the roster. Even then, some shot selection was questionable.

I'm anxious to see what kind of real PG abilities he has out there.

As expected. Scoring PG needs to work on playmaking skills, now forced to play SG. Missing Jr year statistics?

He made some nice plays when he had the chance. The poor shot selection was troubling, but the offense was sputtering at that point iirc, and the entire offense just looked dysfunctional.

I think the bigger issue will be if he can transition like Westbrook because LaVine doesn't have half of Westbrooks aggressiveness.

Zach LaVine and Dante Exum.

Both these guys have jump off the screen upside imo.

Would love LA to be in a position to draft either of them.

Lavine is a great player top 10 prospect but he looks more like a SG. Marcus Smart and Exum are the only great pg's in the draft.

I question if Lavine is a top 10 prospect if he can't play PG. He needs to show something, even under coach Alford's system.

That video just made me confirm my thoughts on him.

He doesn't really change direction to shake his defender. Only happened a few times past the 2:09 mark.

But, no shake of the initial defender, meeting a 2nd defender, and blowing by/shaking that guy to get a layup. Everything is a pull up jumpshot. Almost no assist work.

Yeah, after seeing a bit more from him my hype deflected. Can be a decent shooting SG with crazy hoops, he's no westbrook though.

Watching him against Arizona. He is looking more aggressive on the drive, but yeah I have noticed he does a straight line drive every time. There were two times when I noticed he was better off kicking it out but he puts up an awkward shot. Some strength would help if he were to switch to shooting guard. Right now he is stuck in no mans land with interesting potential for either positions.
