we now have a better record than last year's team in close games, if you can believe it.

That's why I didnt like John Ireland and others complaining so much about not having a closer. Yes, Kobe will help but they can win games 5 on 5 with or without him. When I imagine a closer, I imagine giving it to Kobe every time and hoping he can out score the other team by himself. They have a ton of guys that can make big shots, they should all take turns.

He apparently turned an ankle.

Did it look bad? Day to day or longer term?

I didn't want to post that until it was over so I didn't jinx them.

He was eligible to return to the game, so maybe it isn't as bad as it looked.

They say he could have come back in. He wasn't playing well when he was healthy, so they didn't need him.

Not sure. I missed it. Im sure they will do an MRI/x-ray soon...so we shall see. He sure is injury prone though.

Great game by Pau. Double double. 33 mins, 13 pts, 12 rebs 3 assts and 2 blks. Best +/- in the starting line up tonight.

Good game yes, those last three consecutive offensive rebounds that led to Farmar's three were precious for us

Love how we are playing right now. This is such a great group of guys, very likeable .........everyone playing hard and contributing .......buying Kobe some time.

People here still mad at Pau when we are winning games? Yeah his defense isn't the greatest but he is battling out there, playing a lot of minutes with no back up centers giving him much rest right now.

Lakers fought like hell down the stretch. Pau had two god awful defensive possessions to give Jennings two layups, but that seemed to wake him up and he worked his ass off along with the rest of the team the rest of the game, and had huge boards in crunch time.

Williams crushed it today.

Farmar closed like he should have today (and no bs two pg lineup to end the game!)

Blake has been scouted, but good game still overall.

Hill get well soon.

Young cold, but clutch baskets abusing the hell out of Singler and then Smith down the stretch which resulted in a foul call for Pau and fts, and HUGE CLUTCH CHARGE TAKEN AT THE END.

Wes Johnson was unconscious all game long, and he used his length very well on d, as always.

Meeks wasn't too bad, but not his huge self.

What a game. I feel sorry for guys who aren't watching us now, because we are fun as hell to watch.

Another great 3 point shooting game helps us get the win, but 12 of our 14 three pointers came from Williams and Wes who usually gives us 2 combined per game.

Nice to see Shawne Williams finally get going with his shot. He has to start making them as that is the only reason hes on the floor.

That's the luxury of having so many shooters. They likely won't all be cold at once and even if only one or two are hot, that's enough to win.

Flip side is that guys like Meeks and Blake who are usually money for us were off their shot today, so it kinda evens out. Lakers scrapped this out, we had zero business winning this game the way we gave up points in the paint all game long and got dominated on the boards.

With Rondo coming back soon Boston might win the Atlantic division.
