We all know Love is no Pau. You should know not to compare a player in their prime to a player who is on the decline.

Pau with the almost triple-double ! Good job and effort by everyone tonight!

I think we need to adjust our expectations for Pau. He's no longer a #2 option. Let's just be content with the boris diaw-type games and hope he agrees to < dollars in the offseason or let him walk.

Right guys?

He's certainly playing up to his contract and #2 option status, right?

I'm still of the opinion to let him walk.

And replace him with what free agent?

Hill seems to be doing a lovely job.

Hill is already on the team. Who are you replacing Pau with since you want to let him walk.

Who backs up J Hill?

Let me look at the free agent list this upcoming season and I'll tell you.
Just because Pau's already here doesn't mean he's the best option.

Swaggy's been great off the bench. This actual starting lineup's the best so far

The people who expect Pau to be a great #2 option will always end up being upset.

I am ok if lakers just gives him a 5M per year contract.

Pau only worth that much. JHill 4M a year and is clearly better than Pau now.

Honestly, I think the commentary is better without Stu

Yep time to put Stu out to pasture.

The whole situation with Joel Meyers was weird as well. Not sure why he was forced out

Because he wasnt a good fit with stu and they refuse to realize that stu is the problem.

The Lakers show loyalty in the dumbest places

I like Stu, but in recent years he does seem to have become (in a passive aggressive way) unaccepting of his co-hosts opinions, as if he needs everyone to know who exactly is the expert.

Lakers win and you guys are hollering trade Pau. It's so obvious some just don't like him. When Swaggy was off his game/trade him. When Farmar was off his game/trade hm. When Meekes was off his game/trade him. Tonight they need a raise in pay

My mistake...I missed you were saying Meeks, Blake & Hill for starters.

jordan hill's natural playing position is PF. d'antoni is turning him into phx's version of amare stoudamire, especially now with that face up jumpshot. except jordan hill's rebounds are WAAYY up

Pau is at 19.3/9.2 for 13 years in the NBA.

Lakers find themselves with trade chips now.

If that's a route they choose to go in, of course.

Decent 1st half but a GREAT second half by the good guys (64 pts)!
Team stats: 52% FG
10-10 on FT's
40% beyond the arc

Diando - good setup on the game thread!

Thanks, but this is why I do these on the weekends only. I have no time in the week to maintain this standard of Game Threads.

Outstanding layout! What's your record? (I had to ask )

1-0

Soon to be 2-0
CONGRATS DIANDO

You called it.

I like GTG though. He's a good player but he's in a bad slump. I would say he should take Friday's game but maybe he should take next Tuesday's game. I got Sundays unless it's a busy weekend like my busy weeks these days too...Like I'll definitely will have in January until the 2nd week in February. (Preparing for a family's wedding). Let's see how that goes.

LOL at trade Pau talk. it's not going to happen, we don't want to take on long term contracts and no team wants a $19M role player with mediocre impact on games. Just let him expire and walk in the offseason.
