Is it wrong to root for a loss so MDA can get fired?

Yes. No matter how much people can wish it, the Lakers aren't firing MDA this season.

Going to the game. Let's do this.

Hill is starting...happy about that. But had hoped Wes would also replace Young at the 3 (and have Swag come off bench for scoring punch - maybe that'll be a reality when Kobe comes back).

This game will be telling -- we're at home and just played them and got trounced. Players and coaches need to make adjustments and come with a big effort. If we lose winnable games like this we really are going to be sunk before KB gets back...

Positive thoughts, positive thoughts

The goal, for the Lakers should be playing 500 ball until Kobe returns, if MDA can't accomplish that, then why wouldn't the Lakers toss MDA?

Unfortunately we don't seem to make adjustments well. neither the players nor the coaches seem to know how to do that.

Firing Mike Brown a few games into the season set the next coach back, with no training camp to implement new system, etc. Repeating that with another coach yet again, is not something the Lakers would likely do.

This team is what it is. It's a team in transition with two old players whose play has dropped off dramatically, and likely no Kobe for another month. The coach is almost irrelevant at this point. Switching coaches would accomplish nothing. The disruption might even make things worse. It might be different if the team chemistry was terrible and a shake-up might result in a re-set. But the team chemistry is just fine, they seem to get along with and respect D'Antoni. The team just isn't that good.

And for the record, I never wanted MDA and all other things being equal, he still wouldn't be my first choice. But that doesn't cloud my ability to assess the present and the future and try to see things from the front office point of view.

He's not getting fired in-season. Not. Going. To. Happen.

Great to see Hill starting.
Hope Blake and Meeks keep the good performances and that Gasol will start defending on Davies.

When you're a -3 dog at home versus a borderline playoff team you know it's probably starting to feel like a transitional season.

This is good, because transitional seasons follow disappointing ones and mark the beginning of really good ones to follow -
and if you're the lakers, potentially great ones.

Point taken... I guess we just have to hope MDA gets to implement the players and gets us some wins before Kobe comes back.

this game is a must win

Lakers looked mentally weak their last 2 games, this game could be the dagger to the confidence

We have a pretty easy stretch of games coming here. Nice to think this will be the easy start back to .500.

haha ugh thank god I was going to be pissed if Kaman got the start again. Now if he can just bring in a second unit of Farmar Henry Johnson Williams Kaman. I want to see how Johnson plays at the 3 instead of the 4 or else I would let Williams to continue to sit on the bench.

I think this rotation will work well. Kaman needs to play 5 spot. We need to run and we need our pg to play some D
