Hell yeah!! I was going nuts screaming like a little girl. Didn't see that coming at all. Hopefully we show up with a good performance tomorrow night.

Opening night in the loudest stadium in the NBA with the highest expectations they've ever had.

cliche - it's just one game. They will likely win their share of games this year. But I'm sick of hearing about how great they are, golden child this and that. They've done nothing to warrant this level of attention.

clips should move to honda center. what's Crock gonna do then: hide the Ducks' banner?

First game of the season, and my voice is hoarse. My throat might be in trouble this season, if the first game is any indication.

Clippers are gonna win a lot of games this year, but unless they get a decent big man through trade or buyout signing they're gonna get knocked out early in the playoffs again.

I am willing to eat crow, I thought this would be a blowout the other way. I don't care how the rest of the season goes, we won and beat the clippers on opening day, a stacked contending clipper team with a top coach against a team of nobodies and washed up veterans. And to top it all off, the bench won the game.

No greater feeling than that.

There's something exciting and refreshing watch a team with low expectations. For a team like this, stats get thrown out the window. No need to scrutinize too much. Just feels good to win, lol. Rejoice...because I envision many nights of frustrating losses, particularly on the road. Just being realistic.

Lakers are deep and our bench proved this tonight. Xabier Henry is looking like an All-Star caliber player out there. Clippers don't look good out there. The Lobs look great, and so do the dunks, but Blake and Deondre are liabilities at the line, just like Dwight was.

Lakers need to keep majority of these young guys and figure out who the 2-3 all star caliber players are going to play next to Kobe .

Hell yeah! Great Lakers win. I was stunned and shocked by this outcome like many of you were. Nobody saw this coming. Grand total of 76 bench points and our bench outplayed their starters. We destroyed them and played great team defense in the fourth. This years team chemistry >>>> last years Lakers team, I can already see night and day difference. A bunch of Laker players had great games my game ball goes out to Xavier Henry. The dude was balling tonight.

This is happiest Lakers win for me in the last several years. This win was so sanctifying. The Lakers just destroyed the so called "favorites" coming out of the West on opening night. It doesn't get munch better than that. 1-0 now lets get to 2-0.

you were right but you need not look further than what i said on page 2:

Jeggs wrote:
I think the Lakers got a good chemistry going early. They believe in the system, had a great training camp, locker room morale is the highest it's ever been for years, we have players that actually work well under Dantoni, and the new additions(Farmar, Henry, Williams, and Jordan*not new but back from injury*, and Wesley Johnson) make this team extremely deep and give the Lakers an athletic advantage. Farmar I think is probably going to be the biggest difference maker.

All this adds up and I think it will translate into winning early on. The issue with this team however, is can gasol and nash stay healthy.
