Shawne Williams will start on Griffin, Gasol on Jordan. I'd expect them to play Blake on Paul for now, Nash on Reddick, with Young on Dudley. The good thing is they matchup well with their P and R. I like the Laker bench versus the Clipper bench. Hill is better than Hollins, Wes Johnson will give Mullens a tough time, Xavier Henry can guard Crawford, with possibly Shannon Brown on Crawford, and Farmar against his old understudy.

No Kobe & LAC is better at every position but Center, but Jordan can kill Gasol roughing him up. Also head coaching Doc Rivers > D'Antoni

We'll hang around until the 3rd and LAC will show how much better they are.

Yes. He hasn't really practiced yet, and said that he would need 3-4 weeks of good hard training and practice to be comfortable. The earliest he will be back is mid-November to late November - And that is best case scenario IMO. Keep that in mind if you play fantasy basketball.

I think the Lakers got a good chemistry going early. They believe in the system, had a great training camp, locker room morale is the highest it's ever been for years, we have players that actually work well under Dantoni, and the new additions(Farmar, Henry, Williams, and Jordan*not new but back from injury*, and Wesley Johnson) make this team extremely deep and give the Lakers an athletic advantage. Farmar I think is probably going to be the biggest difference maker.

All this adds up and I think it will translate into winning early on. The issue with this team however, is can gasol and nash stay healthy.

I just hope it is at least competitive. I'll loose it if we get blown out.

I can see Griffin having a big night, but unless the Clippers have there transition game going... Jordan is gonna have a struggling night... Jordan is at his best when the game speeds up.

Tough, tough game starting out the gates. Realistically, we will be lucky not to be blown out. But hope springs eternal, so I'm calling a 103-97 victory for the Lakers.

Even if we lose, though, I will be stoked if our bench can show what they've shown in the preseason against a good team in a game that counts.

Either Blake will body him up, or Farmar will use his speed against him. I'd start Blake on him and have Farmar on him occasionally to mix it up.

I rather let Paul get his numbers rather then... seeing Dudley.. Collison and the other role-players have a big night.

let Griffin and Paul get there numbers.. and shut down everyone else.

Improved defense, better shooting arc... and more poised.
